The whole debacle was a joke. They didn't know how to load the truck properly. They sat around talking or playing on their phone constantly. When I called to try to speak to someone in charge I was yelled at by the owner. 5 minutes later, he called me back to yell some more.
This was a medium-sized in-town move of a 2-bedroom place. I provided the details on how many stairs and the number of items and the owner screamed that I misled them. I didn't. Everything was described accurately.
During the unload we discovered that a mirror had been broken. Days later we discovered that the hydraulics on an office chair no longer worked. They were so slow that I was outpacing them and hauling things because I was embarrassed for them. And these were young guys, it's not like they were broken down old men. Just lazy.
One of the swampers also yelled at my partner when she asked if they could stop sitting around all the time. The whole thing was laughable and nobody should use this company. It cost more than expected for a subpar service and you should go with anyone else.
