We have a beautiful, functional kitchen!
We recently used Home Creators for a complete kitchen gut and renovation, in conjuction with PVD Industries (who did all the cabinets). They came highly recommended by a friend's brother, an architect, who had been very happy with their work on his kitchen. While we were initially apprehensive having to work with two contractors, the two principals are friends and have an excellent working relationship.
Friends and family all warned us that we should expect double the time, and double the estimate, for the job. We were very pleasantly surprised.
The only budget overage was for additional work required when a wall turned out to be weight-bearing and to contain duct work. There was no way of knowing until the wall was opened, and we had been warned ahead of time of the possibility. The additional charges were reasonable given the work involved, and the workers stayed on the job for most of a long weekend to keep the project on time.
The project was a couple of weeks late overall, but delays were not the fault of Home Creators. They did their best to make up time and work around delays beyond their control. And five weeks from start to finish on a complete gut was still quite impressive!
Andre even did a few additional small things around the house, at no additional charge.
We brought in a special cleaning service to get rid of the inevitable dust elsewhere in the house that evaded the taped barriers around the kitchen, but we didn't have to pay them to do the kitchen. Between Home Creators and the contractor who did the cabinets, the kitchen was left move-in ready - we didn't even have to wipe out the drawers and cabinets! And they did a great job protecting our hardwood floors.
The kitchen is absolutely beautiful and blissfully functional. We would definitely recommend Home Creators!
