Clean and Simple

This is the worst cleaning company I have ever dealt with. I paid for a deep clean for a move out. Came back 5 hours later and the staff had left and left the door unlocked. Nothing was done as per the quote ; did not clean behind the fridge and stove, and did not even scrub the floors. Avoid this company and hire someone else if you want the job done properly. The owner Angie, is rude and confrontational when you try to discuss concerns.

We were less than satisfied with our overall experience with this company. We hired Clean and Simple for a full house deep clean. The initial consultation sounded great, we did a walk through of the house so they could see what state it was in, how big, etc and discussed specific things like how they would wash all the walls, move the oven to clean the sides and hand wash the floors in high traffic areas. Once we received the quote ($630 for our 1100 sq ft bungalow) we decided to hire them. Unfortunately we had a number of larger issues (pets being let outside (after being told they were indoor pets and to please be sure they did not get out when she was going for smoke breaks), a window was broken, plants were knocked over and broken, rare plant propagations being thrown away) and a number of smaller issues (blood on laundry room hangers, windows put back backwards so they could not be closed, damaged recipe books). We were willing to overlook a lot of these, but then at the end of the second day (we had hired for 2 full days for a full house deep clean) she left without finishing the job. When we walked through the house later that evening we found doors were not washed, dusting wasn’t completed, the stove sides were skipped, range hood was still greasy, cupboards clearly had not been cleaned, hardwood floors looked worse then before she cleaned them, and baseboards still dirty amongst other things. We reached out to the owner to let her know the work had not been completed and she promptly offered to send out another team to finish the work which I accepted. Then later that day she reached out again to say instead she wanted to send the same lady back to finish the work (since she would be doing it for free). I wanted to be accommodating so I agreed - however we had to rearrange our personal plans to fit her schedule (a Saturday Morning). After moving everything around to accommodate the request I was contacted again being told a different day and time would work better for them. At this point I said No, I had already rearranged my schedule and wanted the previously agreed to time. I also sent my list of other concerns to the owner at this point since we were getting quite frustrated. There was no offer to remedy the broken window or any of our other concerns, we were told she would be there to finish the job on Saturday. On Saturday she was late, and we finally were contacted to be told she had car trouble and would be an hour and a half late. As we had plans later that day it left only 1.5H for the work to be done. After the final bit of cleaning the house still does not meet our expectations, areas still were not fully cleaned and there was no further follow up to see if the job was completed to our satisfaction. I do not feel I got the quality I was promised the day of the consultation nor my money's worth, especially for the main floor. Some areas were cleaned very well and I am pleased with those, but others seem to have been skipped completely. We tried to give this company the benefit of the doubt and opportunities to complete the work but in the end we were disappointed at the level of service provided. The job was not completed as promised, personal items were damaged, and there was minimal effort to remedy the situation when I initially told the business owner prior to posting any reviews online.
