Pool Landscaping - Bylaw violations/Job Abandonment
We signed a landscape contract with Outdoor Living Creative Solutions Inc in 2017. The contractor has been paid in full but abandoned the job leaving the homeowner to correct bylaw violations, safety issues, and unfinished work.
1. Work was not completed despite clear inclusion in the written contract.
2. Prior to abandoning the job, the contractor conducted at least 2 major work stoppages demanding additional money. These work stoppages were intended to intimidate the homeowner to pay additional money for work already included in the original contract.
3. Bylaw and safety violations were not corrected despite multiple written notices.
Since the job abandonment, the homeowners have incurred significant costs to correct and complete the work.
I strongly recommend you perform a detailed web search and court record search before entering into any contract.
