Here is my experience with mygaragesolution (Sanjay, Akansha, and Technicians). I was initially attracted to mygaragesolution due to their short turnaround time and very competitive pricing. After placing my order and e-transferring them the deposit value (Jan 26), the wait time was around 2 weeks, much shorter than other companies. After the installation was “complete” (Feb 10), I noticed several issues: Paint Chips on the garage doors, weather-stripping was not installed correctly causing leaks of cold air and snow into the garage (the entire purpose of upgrading the garage doors was to keep the garage warm). When I explained the situation to Akansha on the day of the installation, she was very understanding and said someone will come out to fix the defects. They insisted on me paying them the full balance before sending someone out to complete the repairs. This was the first red flag for me (give them the money and nobody is ever coming). Sanjay who is the owner of this “fine” establishment tried to justify poor installation by saying “we have been doing this for several years, we know what we are doing”. He threatened to come to my house and rip my garage doors off to which I replied, “I spoke with Akansha, where we came to an understanding that once the techs come fix the improper installation and I will send over the remaining balance”. If I knew Sanjay's team would cut corners, I would have not chosen mygaragesolutions.
The repair date was changed several times (3-4 reschedules from their end)! They asked me to stay home several times from work and even come home early to allow the techs to complete the repairs, but nobody ever came (no notice was provided to me either).
They finally sent the same technicians out on Feb 19th to complete the repairs, who said the issue with the weather stripping is because the capping was not installed correctly. As the consumer, I am trusting mygaragesolutions to do the job right. I paid an additional fee to get capping installed by mygaragesolutions and they have two separate installers come on different days to do the work. I brought up this concern, but they said – “dw we have been doing this for years”. After the work was repaired (not even done correctly), I requested the installers to do a screw sweep with a magnet just in case, they said no. The next day in the morning I noticed my car had a screw lodged into my brand-new winter tires. After getting that repaired I came home and walked the driveway and garage and found screws that were used for the weatherstripping repair all over the place.
This was my experience with this company, I have attached pictures as evidence of my experience. We all work hard for our money and hope that companies would work as hard to get it. The cherry on top, my garage is NOT any warmer than it was before! There are still some pending repairs, but I doubt they will ever come.
