I had a cracked chimney flue and had been told that my chimney needed to be completely rebuilt. Stephen came to my house to assess the issue. He advised that the chimney would not need any work for 10 to 15 years. As a mason, he could not replace the flue, but he went out of his way to locate someone who could.

Indeed the exterior of the chimney while it may need some work does not validate a tear down. Any remedial work can wait as there is no evidence of failure other than aesthetically. To replace the cracked flue at the bottom of the chimney would involve a good deal of work. A zero tolerance steel liner with some patching would be the cost effective route to take with this project. While we are not shy about taking on a project we are not interested in taking advantage of a client. This is the most cost effective route to take. Thank you very much for your kind review.
