I needed help putting together an IKEA wardrobe and checked through Homestars. The first thing that impressed me about Monika and Kris is that they responded intelligibly and politely with a bid. Others simply sent a proffered price. We spoke on the phone and prearranged an appointment for the next day and they showed up on time. After they put the piece together, they pointed out how flimsy it is it seems IKEA didnt design the item with any support at the back to prevent it from collapsing or breaking. Our floors are also uneven so despite adjusting the feet for height it was slightly precarious. Kris offered to create some support beams and affix them to the back to correct the problem. I agreed and they left their tools and returned the next day. In the meantime, I had a few other handyman jobs I required attending to and asked them if they could attach a garden hose hanger to the wall, fix a bathroom door that hasnt shut properly for years, and stop the garden gate from scraping on the ground preventing it from swinging to and fro properly and create a small bannister on an outdoor staircase. They agreed to do the jobs and did so with quiet but enthusiastic determination. They explained what they had done to correct the problem. It rained on the second day so they needed to return the next to complete the bannister. I ordered and paid for the garden hose holder at a store convenient to their location and they very kindly picked it up for me. I dont have a car so it was greatly appreciated. Not to mention that they didnt even charge for picking it up or installing it despite my protestations. They came back a third day to stain and varnish both bannisters so that they match. They charged exactly what they had quoted for the IKEA construction despite getting the lumber and adding the modifications. Many contractors find excuses to increase the invoice, but Monika and Kris did the opposite. They were polite and friendly and trustworthy. I left the gate open for them for the jobs in the garden and they came and went quietly, completing the various tasks eliminating any potential tensions or stress that often occur when undertaking home repairs.

Preparing our house for sale and there were a few unsightly patch jobs needed as well as a repair of the laminate floor that started to come away from the wall. The handyman we'd engaged to do these had backed out at the last minute so panicking I called Kris who after I'd sent him some pictures assured me he'd be out the following morning to do the repairs. He and his wife arrived on time (just before 8 am), assessed the job, went to Home Depot, got the materials needed, and had the entire job done and left by 10 am. Saved us a lot of anxiety for sure! Would recommend again in a heartbeat! Note - they are located at Yonge/Finch area not in Ajax as it says here.

I hired Happy Construction from Homestars to address a bunch of little finishing jobs. Grouting tile, caulking, painting, sanding, baseboards, new tiles, repairing cracks. There was a lot to do and I wanted it done to perfection. Kris and Monika came over several times to deal with everything quickly and expertly. They were kind, professional, punctual, thorough, and best of all, expert in everything they did. I could not be happier with their work. I highly recommend anyone to hire Happy Construction.

I reached out to Chris and Monika after finding them on HomeStars. They were super responsive and came the next day to provide a quote and then the day after to do the work! They were both really lovely and tackled each of the jobs without issue. We had a bunch of projects that weren't big but were all complicated and had been piling up (hanging iron hooks on brick wall, repairing broken bathroom fan, broken kitchen drawer, gap in siding that had previous had a wasp nest in it, cutting some wood around some cabinets, hanging a pendant light and patching the space around.). Everything was done quickly and cleanly, also I appreciated that they tried to find cost effective solutions. Will definitely be using them again in the future! Thank you :)

Last week I started using the kitchen sink only to find that I was standing in a puddle of warm water that had leaked from the pipes underneath. Both of the side-by-side sinks were unusable.

Happy Construction was at my house before noon the same day. They identified the issues (there were multiple), went to fetch parts and everything was resolved within a couple hours. They were quick, clean and quiet. Everything is working great now. Very happy with their work and the cost!

I am extremely pleased with the service provided by Krisztian yesterday. He came within the hour to replace my kitchen faucet. The new faucet was missing the connections and he had a couple in his truck. That impressed me as someone who comes prepared.
I have already recommended him to my friend.
I will be calling him back in the spring to do some other things and will highly recommend him to anyone.

I had 3 slow draining shampoo sinks in my busy hair salon. Happy Construction came out and 1) snaked the drains, 2) power washed the drains and 3) replaced a clogged, improper hair trap. My sinks now drain continuously better then even when they were first installed. I am completely happy with the work quality, professionalism and pricing for the work provided. I would highly recommend Happy Construction for your commercial plumbing remediation challenges.

We had plumbing work done in the kitchen (including replacement of existing plumbing under the sink due to recurring issues). The work was completed perfectly within the same day. Would recommend!
