The state of my basement floor was awful. There was a high point swelling about an inch higher than the rest of the floor, and the floor was uneven all throughout, every step you took was a different elevation.
Daniel came and took a look at it and said he could fix it. Not that he could make it perfectly level (because my floor was just too deep in some areas), but that he could make it smooth and even so that laying subfloor would be easy.
So I hired him. The first day he came out and set pegs everywhere to get the proper level. The next day he came out and primed the floor and poured the concrete in. A big job like mine only took about 6 hours.
The end result is very smooth. It's not perfectly level, but he knew it wouldn't be and told me beforehand. My floor is just too deep in some places. But the floor is even and clean. Putting in my dricore now will probably take me an hour or two at the most, because I don't have to worry about shimming valleys or a creaky floor.
Take a look at the pictures below. while the different colours make the floor look uneven, it is not. Trust me you cant even feel that there is an edge with your fingers. And you can see the pictures of the level, the first one from my old high point, and the second from my old low point. I mean, come on. That's awesome.
Aside from the quality, I have to say Daniel is very transparent, honest, and clear. He was up front about not getting a perfect level, he was honest about some things I wanted that weren't possible, and I always knew what he was doing. I have hired some people that don't communicate and are very unclear, but with Daniel I always felt comfortable.
I wish I had more concrete work for him.
