Kirwan Carpentry

We recently had the pleasure of working with Seán and his team (Luis, Glenn) to complete a fine carpentry project (dark stained oak) including blending new/old trim, wainscoting, staircase re-facing, and custom under-stairs storage in our 100-year old home. They are fantastic to work with - always on time, hard working, enthusiastic, personable, funny, and respectful (they cleaned up every day, were considerate of children and pets, and were respectful of our request for masking during the pandemic). Seán was great at keeping us up to date on progress and next steps, and was happy to collaborate with us to execute on our vision.

They took the challenges of working with our 100-yr old home in stride, dealing with funky angles, working with real hardwood (i.e. not able to hide behind glue/paint/MDF) and more. Seán and his team are true carpenters/joiners - they custom-made and fit together elements like a puzzle to arrive at a beautiful end product which is exactly what we were hoping to achieve - it looks like its always been there.

We are already working with Seán and his team again on a second project, and will continue to call them back in the future as we take on more projects in our home. If youre looking for a true craftsperson and artist - youll be so lucky to partner with Kirwan Carpentry.

Sean and his team were a delight to work with. Sean is very responsive, he clearly explained the work in detail so wed know what to expect, and delivered an incredible product in line with the quote. He went the extra mile and even cleaned the work areas and moved furniture when the job was done. I purchased a slab of live edge wood, and passed it over to Kirwan Carpentry for their creative input and execution. I couldn’t be happier with the results! The table is perfect for condo living, complete with wood bows to prevent the table from splitting further apart.
