Starts out nice, finishes terribly
Agreed to the scope of work required.
Timeline agreed upon to complete the work was 2 weeks - he took 4 weeks with no apology about the delay. The delay could have been because of all the instagram videos he took in my garage and in my master bedroom. He worked several half days and later found out it was because he had another job on the go (and they were lucky enough to have their job completed on time). I wasn't making a big deal about that because he seemed like a good guy. Brought in one of his "workers" who was not qualified to perform tasks such as dry wall repair (dry wall was not sanded/patched properly and still was painted over) or straight electrical outlet installation. I raised my concerns with the quality of work - his response was that we were complaining and said that's the best he can do. Our shower floor grout is now showing holes and is 3 different colors(supposed to be charcoal) after 3 months. Was told he warranties all this work - when I reached out to have the grout corrected he told us he will not be coming to fix the grout and that we "got more than what we paid for" -if this is the case why did he quote the job incorrectly? He went on to say that he would never step foot in our house to do anything. Pretty confusing when we paid promptly and accommodated his timelines and work hours. Only when concerns were raised is when the attitude started - Steve is a big fan of social medial (instagram specifically) when the job was almost done, he posted on his instagram that our bathroom was not perfect and not his best work but he can only learn. As a home owner to see a post where a contractor who is hired to do a job say that the job was less than perfect is very concerning. When these concerns were raised with him, he got aggressive on the phone. Now we are stuck with a terrible grout job on the shower floor that will need to be repaired.
