We hired Joni to come and clean out our flower bed in the back yard, remove some small trees and shrubs and lay some grass in the front yard. The project began beginning of June. Joni came out with another person - gave him instructions and then left. The worker had very broken english and it was hard to communicate with him when he needed to be redirected. He worked very slow and had a hard time removing the small trees and shrubs that needed to be removed. Joni came out a second time and stayed only 1hr due to another job that he had to go to. He was only able to complete a bit more of our original agreement. He did lay some grass but it looked dead - when I asked him he said that it would be fine and to just water it every day, which I did. He came out a third time and laid a little additional grass in the front but not enough to finish and then left after being paid (MY FAULT for paying before all was completed!)
The agreement was that he would come out and finish the work and remove the dead grass as it was a horrible eye sore and we were very unhappy! I started on June 30th to msg him regularly to come out and finish at least the grass ASAP. July 3rd he said he would come but not sure when. July 6th he told me "Welcome to Canada u have to wait please I don't care about ur neighbours and ur husband as well I done my jobs for 600$ again I will say this is Canada. I will come if I have time this week" I was COMPLETELY APPALLED!!!
July 9th he told me he would come the next week and to please give him a couple days. He has NOT responded since to my msgs. I ended up pulling all the dead grass myself and now have to hire someone to come finish HIS job that he did not do.
BEWARE and don't pay until job is complete!!!!

You paid the amount that we agreed upon and I sent a worker to complete a job. He worked and he finished his work at 3 o'clock at noon. And if you remember, I said, Are you happy? You said yes, and thank you. And after that I come install to tree up nd 8 rolls of grass and remove three big tree all of this $ 600, and you are still not satisfied. . You are coming from a country where prices and living conditions are different. This is not America .. Again, welcome to Canada thank you.
