Passes Off Larger Jobs to Non-Certified Family, Tries to Cover Up Mistakes
We hired Site Tech to install pot lights throughout the house and replace all of our switches.
Moh was the original person we dealt with. What ended up happening was he passed off this project to his son and his friends. There were two major issues we found: 1) misalignment of potlights, and 2) dimmer switches not installed.
When I asked about the misaligned potlights, his son became confrontational with me. He went on to explain there was a joist that was in the way. Upon further inspection I found there was no joist, to which they argued it would be too much to repair their mistake.
Second was the dimmer switches. When I went to inspect the electrical connection, I found there wasn't the appropriate neutral wires connected to the switch. Moh went on to explain he opted in for cheaper dimmers. While that was concerning, it didn't explain why non of the switches had the dimmer wires connected.
Moh on a personal note is pleasant to deal with, although I think they are in over their head for any jobs beyond a small job.
His team did not finish the job until a lot of discussion either. We had cover plates on switches missing, to which he said it was the painter's job (which he referred).

- Company Response
I am sorry to hear that your experience wasn’t exceptional with our team. Our company continues to strive to provide quality service. Although our company has been successful at helping hundreds of members in our community, unfortunately that was not your experience. First and foremost, I would like to apologize for any inconvenience we may have cause you, as well as any miscommunication from our employers. We always appreciate reviews from customers here at SiteTech Electrical. They help us improve our business. As this is our first negative review we were quick to investigate where things went wrong. We’d like to provide the following in our defence: I only stepped out for an hour as I was called for an emergency power outage. I never leave a job site unless absolutely necessary. In the meantime my son and the electrical helper (not his friend) were to work on the project. Regarding the dimmers, you were given a price range in which I indicated that dimmers start from $35-100+ in which you decided to go with the $35 dimmers. There are a variety of dimmer devices, in your case, your dimmers don’t have the neutral wire connection. This was not a mistake made by us. We also eliminated two pot lights free of charge. As for the cover plates, they were all installed and none of them were missing. There were two that weren’t covering the holes beside the boxes (you sent me a picture). I bought two wider covers and replaced them myself. Apologies have been made regarding the issues that occurred during your experience. We further discussed your concerns and needs before resuming the project to get a better feel of how to specifically pursue these issues to ensure your satisfaction. We also arranged two visits to fix the issues although your specific wants changed and we are communicating with you to plan a visit at the moment. I am still waiting to hear from you as you have been busy. We did everything we felt necessary to satisfy your situation. Again, we apologize that you were not happy with your services. This is not typical of us and we can assure you that it won’t happen again. We will continue to make improvements where we can to provide the best experience.
Best Regards
