I had a Maintenace plan from Enercare and they serviced the fireplace annually.
One year the fireplace would not start. They told me they could not help me diagnose the problem and turned the gas off.
I then used another company to diagnose the problem. They came, cleaned the glass tried to start it and it worked. They took the fee and left.
Later when I tried to turn on the fireplace it lit and then abruptly turned off. I called them back and they said you need to replace the unit as it cannot be repaired.
I looked for another service company. Found UniAire called them and the service technician offered to come that day.
Ali came took the unit apart and quickly determined that the unit had not been properly maintained and the safety system had corroded due to lack of maintenance.
All these years I had been paying Enercare and they did not do their job.
Ali had the part and was able repair and clean up the corrosion.
