bought a house with popcorn ceiling :( called a painting company that advertised they removed popcorn, they referred me to Patchmaster.
Patchmaster quoted and scheduled the removal. The team (him and his daughter) arrived on time and put down protective coverings for my new floors except for the kitchen (lots and lots of dust). so I vacuumed the protective coating every night to reduce tracking the dust into the new floor in the kitchen. They finished on schedule. They let me know what the plan was as they went along.
The stucco came off with a big machine and then the ceiling was patched. they ceiled the work with a stain guard primer.
I put the ceiling paint on, a couple of coats. Noticed that the edges were rough, challenging to get a really good line between the walls and the ceiling when i go to paint the walls. Talked about this with my contractor who was here for other work. We tried to scrape the bumps off and sand them off but it didn't work. So I caulked the edges of the ceiling on the main floor - not a fan of caulking but needed a paint line that would give me a nice edge- caulked the bumps to cover them smooth. I hope this works, haven't tried painting the walls yet. Getting a straight line at the ceiling would give it a nice finished look for sure.
Overall, more work than I anticipated, but I did not like stucco ceilings and now the ceilings look great.

Popcorn ceiling and walls were removed. Some walls required patching and straightening for a flush look. Anthony and his crew were very professional and consistent in there work habits. They were here to do a job and got right to it. We are very happy with the finished look on the walls and ceiling.
