Got a new hot water tank replacement and Dean and his crew showed up three hours after he said he would with no buckets or rags to empty old water tank. Had to supply them with towels to clean up water and they left a wet mess in both laundry room and furnace room. Dean didn’t bother removing his wet snowy boots and tracked water all the way down to the basement.
His price was $575 more than the competition and he was not willing to try to be competitive with his pricing. They left the job with puddles in my furnace and laundry room and I was left cleaning up after they left, even throwing wet rags onto my golf shoes. Call w.h tec for the same 50 gallon tank at $575 less if you want to save over 33%.
Go to W tec heating for the same 50 gallon tank for $500 less.
- Approximate cost of services:
- $1,575.00

First we would like to thank you for taking the time to leave your feed back. After investigating the situation and speaking with Dean, we would like the opportunity to address and hopefully make things right with you Mr.Jonker.
* Normally when we come replace a hot water tank and if buckets are needed the customer will inform us they do not have a drain in the mechanical room and we will need to bring buckets in order to drain the tank we are replacing. After speaking with both the technicians they did indicate they did bring rags and wiped up the mess of the little water that was spilled and from removing the hot water tank from the home, if some was missed we do apologize.
* Dean did say he and the other installer did wear there boots in the home, and informed you they could not take off the boots as it is a safety violation in case the new tank does slip..this way there feet are covered and safe, tis is required by WCB. But we do apologize for the mess that was left with the boots being left on.
* When discussing the price with you, originally Dean did quote a little bit of a higher price which you did decline. The next day you called Dean back and asked him if he could do it for the price you paid for which was $50.00 less of the original quote, he said "sure no problem" and accommodated your request, you agreed to the price and deal was agreed upon verbally over the phone.
* When you called Dean with the approval of the price he did inform you they were working on another installation and had a couple more ahead of you but would get to you that day, unfortunately the other installation did take a little longer than he thought as he ran into a little bit of problem. Because of that, he did move you ahead of the other customers as he understood the urgency of your situation.
As most people know, in any industry, everyone prices differently. Some higher than others and some lower, we price fairly and never claim to be the cheapest but we are not the most expensive either but we try our best to accommodate your schedule you not accommodate ours. We work hard to ensure our customers are happy with our services from start to finish.
I do hope you understand our side as we understand yours and we can continue to do business together and come to a conclusion together.
Kind Regards
