Restoration Mate

Justin and Restoration Mate were honestly lifesavers. We were referred to them by waterproofing contractors and Justin was able to come by to give a quote for fixing everything within a day or two of the waterproofing work being completed. At my request he gave us separate quotes for simply 'restoring' everything that had been there before and for 'restor-ovating' (no one used this word) to not only do the restoration work but to carry on a bit further and completing some finishing and other renovation work in our basement that was on our medium-term to do list but something we had almost not thought to ask a restoration company for.

Overall, the crew of guys - Jason in particular - was super easy to work with and took the time to do a very thorough job of everything even though some trimming work certainly took longer than they had initially anticipated. They were also kind enough to do little things like making a small cut in the wood on my back gate and another change to help it actually work properly (it helped that it was the gate they had to use every day!), fix some drywalling we had done earlier this year but weren't happy with and said 'OK' to adding a banister to our stairs down to the basement that they hadn't originally quoted on and that wasn't really connected to the overall project.

Justin was regularly on site and very easy to communicate with, stopping to check in on our choices and at one point offering us a fixture for free that he happened to have in his warehouse - we didn't end up going with that piece but certainly appreciated the gesture.

Overall, not only did we get the water-proofed basement put back together but we now have very functional, finished space that my wife is using every day for her home office as well as a bunch of additional built-in storage that is priceless in a small house.

Hopefully we won't need any more restoration work in our house, but we're already looking for an opportunity to work with Justin, Jason and the team from Restoration Mate again on the renovation end since we had such a positive experience with them and appreciate so much everything they did for us.
