Northcon was initially a pleasure to deal with. Seemed professional and knowledgable, BIG MISTAKE in hiring them.
The people doing the work are careless and don't seem to care about doing the job properly. NOT tradesmen, NOT skilled, NOT qualified . I've been framing homes for 25 years, these guys should not be building anything until they get some proper training.
The old basement window that was removed was buried under the styrofoam. The weeper was damaged during digging and they just covered it up. The forming was built using 2x3 studs, not strong enough
to prevent the concrete wall from forming a belly. Rebar was undersized and drilled into the existing foundation using PL to anchor it. I had to remove it myself and reinstall it using the proper chemical adhesive for concrete. The tie wire for the rebar was simply twisted by hand, I had to give them a pair of pliers and show them how to twist it tight. The concrete finish was acceptable only because i watched them like a hawk.
A boulder that was pulled out of the ground during excavation was left on the property. After repeated texts and phone calls and assurances that it would be taken away, even when I told them I had landscapers scheduled to come, it wasn't removed. I had to take care of it my self.
I would not recommend this company to anyone.
