All We Know Is Paint

They didn't complete the job but took the full balance which I was to blame for giving it to them. I should have never paid the remainder of the balance the last time they were here which clearly I saw the work wasn't complete, but I trusted them and thought for sure they would come back but they never did. It's been over a month since the last time they came and Michael kept telling me I'll come next week but don't know what day yet and 4 weeks past and he and his other worker still haven't come back. Now when I call and leave voice messages and text messages I don't even get a response back and I wasn't rude in anyway with the text messages and voice messages I left. I just wanted them to get back to me and tell me when they would be coming back. Michael also priced my job over the phone and I was honest enough to tell him to come and look at it first before committing to that price. The original price he quoted me over the phone was $1725 minus a 30% percent discount. Once he saw the job he immediately took back the 30% percent discount and told me the price was $1725 firm. Halfway into the job he wanted to charge me another $400 bucks on top and I had a written contract for $1725 so I refused to give him another $400 but because I'm nice and I saw they were making the effort I told him I would meet him halfway and give him $200 on top of $1725 but not $400. In the end they took $1725 and told me they would come back and never did. Very disappointed with him and how he conducts business. Now I have to pay another taper to come here and finish the work which until it gets done I can't continue to finish the basement. It's going to cost me more money now because another taper won't come to my house for less than $1000.
