My wife and I were dreaming of renovating our kitchen after several years.
We spoke several times to the sales team over at NorthCo Services sold us on their experience, and professionalism. The start date was pushed 2 different times over 2 months, and once the project started different amount of contractors were onsite (2 to 4 to 6). No one from NorthCo Services was ever available by email or telephone. Then after 4 days of work, we were told there were missing tiles/cabinets/lighting/etc and we needed to wait without any plan or schedule. After waiting 3 weeks, the work restarted and the kitchen was finally completed in the next 13 days. Based on this experience, I would not refer NorthCo Services based on the sales agreement and project managers are not in sync. The estimate is not the expectation after the work and now we are waiting on retouches because the backsplash is defective and requires repairs. We should have smelled the inexperience and non-professional way of business from the get-go, but were bullied with their "stay patience, we will get it done". And their numerous request and pickups on the payments. The fact we were out of a kitchen for over 2 months compared to their 3 weeks was false and shouldn't happen.

NorthCo Services far exceeded my expectations in completing a kitchen renovation for me this summer. I am absolutely delighted with my new kitchen! It is bright and functional with the addition of a quartz counter top and an overhang which adds valuable seating space. I found this company to be a pleasure to work with they have integrity, are knowledgeable and ensure they do a top quality job. It was a pleasure to work with JMax the supervisor, Claudel the designer along with each team member that arrived to do their part for the renovation. I would highly recommend NorthCo for any renovation projects.

GREAT CONTRACTOR! From the project manager, through the designer, to the crews that did the work, everyone met our expectations and delivered quality work. We were told when work would begin at each step of the project, and the crews came right on time. We were shown counters, back splash, sinks, fans, and given options of everything. Initial quotes and actual charges (including credits) were right on target. Each of the crews that came (demo, plumbing, HVAC, electrical and carpentry) were respectful, and met our expectations of quality work. Of particular note the carpenter (Tyler) went beyond what was required. Our thanks for a job well done.

Dan’s team did excellent work putting up new cement fibreboard on our house, repairing stucco, painting to match, and installing new windows. Dan followed up with all our final details.

After gathering several quotes for a planned kitchen expansion/first floor reno in 2020 we decided to go with Northco, and we couldn’t be more pleased with that decision and the final results. The process from beginning to end was well planned, organized and executed, even with the challenges the pandemic placed on all of us. Northco fosters a partnership with its clients, setting a “team” expectation and it really leant itself to a successful relationship and final result. Communication regarding any issues or concerns we had was effectively managed, they were responsive throughout the project and valued our input. The Northco team as well as its trades were professional and respectful, and the quality of the work is excellent. We would not hesitate to engage Northco on any future projects, and highly recommend them.

We highly recommend NorthCo Services - specifically for the professional and personalized service we received right from the start: they made sure they understood exactly what we wanted, including the design, materials and colour. We were told that the work would begin in mid- to late-October, and the crew was there - a day earlier than planned, to our delight - and on time. The project took exactly one month to complete as planned; even though there are still a couple of issues to be resolved (finish siding, paint the porch), we are very pleased with the result and are confident that these supply and weather-dependent issues will be addressed in a timely manner.

The crew who worked on this project (siding and front porch) from day one gets top marks for being punctual, professional, attentive to details, knowledgeable and thoughtful. The lines of communication were always open and issues were addressed on the spot. For instance, we were unsure about the steps and needed to get a feel for the height, so it took all of 5 minutes to have a mockup built. The steps look even better than expected. The crew also made helpful suggestions when they felt they could improve the original design.

The front porch framing crew was very fast and thorough. They were loud, though, and left the site without cleaning up when an issue was flagged for the structural engineer, but we still recommend them because they knew exactly what they were doing, and they did it exceptionally well. That porch is solid.

With regards to cleanliness, the crew did a quick sweep and cleanup every day. NorthCo Services also respected our wishes, e.g., putting the waste bin on the front lawn rather than on the driveway, which was redone last year. Having a tarp on site to protect the area was also great for minimizing the grit and construction debris, although we probably should have set up a tree protection zone and asked the crews not to walk through the flower beds.

Overall, we were very pleased with NorthCo Services. They exceeded our expectations and we are pleased to recommend their services.

From the first moment we met Northco’s estimator Simon, both my wife and I felt inspired by his professionalism and knowledge. He was on time for our initial meeting and was attentive and engaged as he listened to our explanation of our scope of work, requirements and expectations of their services for our project.
A few days later, Simon requested a meeting with us to review Northco’s quote and proposed scope of work. Throughout this process, Simon demonstrated his solid knowledge of construction by suggesting some cost saving approaches whilst maintaining quality and esthetics. The transparency, honesty and attention to details displayed by Simon, during this initial process, simply confirmed to both my wife and I, that we had made a right choice in hiring Northco.
We then had the pleasure of moving to the next phase and group: Daniel and Northco’s Implementation Team. Daniel is a friendly, take charge type of guy. Professional, effective communicator and organized coordinator, he continuously kept us up to date on the work’s progress and informed us of upcoming activities. He was quick to resolve any project hiccups that came about. Dan’s Team was great! They respected and treated our home as if it was their own. In addition, the guys are excellent Tradesmen, who are proud and love to display their skills. The end result of our project certainly showcased the quality of their workmanship. All of them were consummate professionals just like their Bosses; Daniel and Simon.
In my 30 + years in the Commercial Construction and Project Management Industry, I come across many types of contractors but Northco is one of those rare gems you just love to work with. Working with them is truly a partnered effort. They make you feel part of their Team from beginning to the end.

Tough job, lots of remedial work needed. Northco was great from start to finish. did a great job. Left worksite clean and tidy.. Followed up after painting was finished to make sure work was complete and we were happy.

Here's the thing about Northco Services, not only did they build me a bomb-proof deck, but they also were great when things went wrong. Every time that site conditions required a tweak or total redesign, Dave and Dan handled all the paperwork, permitting, and inspections. If you need an outfit to take care of business, these are your guys.

The job was done professionally and in a timely manner. Their customer service is excellent, I had an issue with the roofing they just did and they addressed it in a timely manner and fixed it. I have no problem recommending their services to anybody.
