VIP Renovations

We bought a home that needed significant work in order to fit our entire family comfortably and we wanted to turn the basement into a rentable apartment. We had never owned a home before and knew nothing about the type of work that was needed, nor did we know the regulations.

VIP walked us through it all and made the whole process as painless as possible.

They renovated a bathroom on the top floor. Added an en-suite bathroom to our master bedroom. Did the flooring, custom made stairs out of the flooring we chose, glass panes and oak bannisters.

They took down the walls on the first floor creating a large open concept kitchen/dining room and living room area. They increased the windows and replaced one window with an exit from the dining room onto a deck in the back yard. They added a discreet powder room on the first floor and another one on the split level just below along with a hidden pocket door closet for the washer and dryer.

They made an entire basement apartment, with a beautiful bright kitchen, a luxurious bathroom and bedroom. They installed larger windows to add more light, installed potlights and a separate exit.

We could not be more pleased with their work. We have now rented out our inspected and approved basement apartment which they have designed in a way that it is completely independent of the rest of our home and feels like an entirely different property.

All in all they renovated our entire home and turned our three bedroom, two bathroom, one powder room house into a spacious 5 bedroom, 3 full bathroom and 2 powder room home.

The time they spent walking us through the process and being patient with us as we figured out what exactly we wanted, sometimes on the fly my family will always appreciate. The price they gave us was in line with what other companies charged but the care they showed when dealing with us and their attention to detail makes them worth much more.

As you can tell my entire family likes the guys at VIP a lot and their work was impeccable. Could not give a more enthusiastic recommendation.

We hired VIP Reno for converting our finished basement to a second dwelling unit. Project involved adding kitchen, one bedroom, flooring, egress window etc. Bob and his team told us they were aware of City of Mississauga Code and renovating the basement following the Code. Later on when we obtained the permit and called Inspectors from City of Mississauga, we realized-
1. Egress window was wrong. They used sliding window and the window width did not match the definition of egress window.
2. The exhaust (duct) on the kitchen was not connected anywhere (like a dummy duct).
3. They told us the air duct is not required in the washroom and sealed the existing duct (which required some repairs).
4. They left an electrical outlet behind the sink in the kitchen as it is.

He did the flooring in our filming studio! great quality finish. hopefully when its in the budget we can get Bob to also remove a wall so we can have a bigger space!

I was amazed by the level of professionalism displayed by the staff at VIP Renovations. They absolutely exceeded my expectations and I would highly recommend them to any of my friends and family members. It has been a pleasure having you rennovate our home.

Last year we had a flood and got Bobs card from a friend, they waterproofed our home everything went great. No issues with the basement, and hes helped out with a few things since then.

We also had Bob do the bathroom in our basement last month and were very pleased with how quickly they did it.

Bob and Ogi were amazing! We did a two story renovation with them and they did all the hardwood, tile work, and the bathrooms. They also got us the most amazing quartz counter top that was exactly what we wanted.

While we're ecstatic now, we were initially incredibly stressed, we had been calling dozens of contractors to give us quotes, but when we spoke to Bob, he was honest, he never told us what we wanted to hear only what we needed to hear! it was refreshing.. all we can say is if you have a renovation I would definitely suggest VIP. They truly care and try to make your project as amazing as it can be!

I bought a new house and needed to convert a small powder room into a full shower. I brought in a couple contractors in for a quote, VIP reno being one of them. While other contractors came by for 10 minutes each and nodded along with whatever novice ideas I had, Bob and Oggie spent over 2 hours of their time giving me amazing ideas and expert advice, not only about the bathroom, but also little improvements I could make here and there to make my house look amazing; at no point being pushy for the job. Bob, Oggie and the team ended up getting the job and fast forward a couple weeks my house looks amazing. The little things that I didn't like about the house when I first got it are now gone! Not only are Bob and Oggie great at what they do, they are incredible human beings. I got to learn a lot about home building/renovation (and some amazing life advice from Bob) and now I know exactly what to look for when I buy my next house. They put up with all my little asks and did their best to get them done. They worked tirelessly to get everything done on time including working weekends, leaving my house clean after each day's work! I was lucky enough to find these guys and delighted that I chose them to do the job!!

a couple of years ago my wife and I knew of VIP Renovations through some friends who got work done with them, we were given their card and we decided to get a quote from them. Bob was great and helpful, and helped us do this Huge job within budget (Huge for us).

We loved everything so much. As we both work, we werent able to be on top of everything but bob always gave us samples of options and took care of all the delivery, would definitely recommend using Bob and his guys! We have since become friends and would love to offer our experience or reference to anyone that asks.

Bob and Ogi worked efficiently to take apart a work station in my office. They were very friendly and accommodating to how and when things needed to be done. Without a doubt, I would hire them again.
