Plumbs Up Plumbing And Drains

I had a blocked drain out to a catch basin and was quoted to snake initially with camera option. Plumbers snaked drain with no results. It was then suggested to send camera down to see blockage. I agreed, signed for additional charges and the camera was sent down. Then I was told that they couldnt see anything because camera cant see in water. Really? Then why was I given and charged for that option? #1
The plumber then ended up digging where drain ended and released blockage and advised that they would
need to come back the following day with a price to excavate and re-do drain properly. That was July 06, 2023. No further quote was received and Ive called and left 3 messages for a return call with none received.
The drain area is a deep hole with mound of dirt beside it which poses a big safety concern not to mention that the job remains in-complete.
The hole cost me over $1,000 with no permanent fix and Im left with a hole and exposed drain which will freeze and back-up the drain again and probably crack the pipe.
I contacted Plumbs-up because they were recommended as professional and thorough, yet pricey. Being a single woman of retirement age, and physically unable to do the work, I elected to accept the higher price for what I thought, would be a job well done - I feel taken advantage of, ignored and left with a problem I am unable to fix without absorbing additional cost I can ill afford. So much for supporting local business.

Shame on you PLUMBS-UP!

We hired plumbs up for a new sink installation in our bathroom. Unfortunately the technician took zero precautions to contain tile dust when he cut our tiles to fit in our new sink. Tile dust was coated through out our entire washroom. It even travelled over our shower curtain and pooled in our tub! Unfortunately when we brought the hazardous mess to Plumbs Up attention they we’re unreasonable and unprofessional to resolve the mess, so we were with out the use of our washroom for three days. We had the work done on a Friday. I spent the following day Saturday trying to find a professional cleaner to come and clean our washroom. I found an available cleaner that was able to come the following day - Sunday. I informed plumbs up that I found a cleaner. I explained to plumbs up that the washroom at issue was our only shower. Unfortunately plumbs up would not commit to paying the professional cleaner I found in full. They were only willing to pay the cleaner I found for one hour of their services. However they were willing to pay “their” cleaner in full to come and clean our washroom on the following Monday which took a total of 2 and a half hours to clean. In short: a simple sink installation that was paid for in full ($881.55) caused a lot of grief. Professionals know how to take precautions, cleanup and deal with issues in a professional manner. When I let the management know that it’s very unreasonable to have to wait until Monday to have our washroom cleaned when I had an available cleaner to come a full day sooner to clean toxic tiles dust; I was told by management that I was “irate” and that tile dust is “not toxic”.

Ryan from plumbing and drains came out today to fix the waterspout in the bathroom and to check why my kids toilet tank won’t stop filling. Ryan went over and above during this service call! He checked the toilet tank and tighten the loose part. He changed the water spout and went on to check my water filtration system to ensure that it was working properly! ( He didn’t have to do it but he did)
