Hands down 10 out of 10 stars!

Four reasons stood out more than any other for me:

1. Professionalism: From the very beginning, Serghi and his team were prompt, diligent, attentive and flexible. As the demo progressed, it became apparent nothing in the house was salvageable apart from the brick exterior. As a result, we had to add to what we initially had requested done. However, at no time did he have issue.
2. Very long hours: It's this type of work ethic you sometimes hear about, but seldom see. He and his team did this every day of the project until completion - even though it was a big job (demo of a 4-story home down to the studs).
3. Consultative: Initially, I thought how does a tile guy get into the demo business? But this is where his years of experience working on houses showed through. He gave us constant advice throughout the job. Advice on parts of the house we should note for future repair, or things we can leave because they were structurally sound, best practices, etc., etc. It was very reassuring especially as this was our first time going through something so extensive. He earned full marks and my respect on this front!
4. Cleanliness: He took pride in cleaning the worksite daily so he and team could start with a clean work environment the next day. He could have left things to pile up and only remove debris once he ran out of space, but this was another reason I was impressed with him. He was considerate of our neighbours and not wanting to inconvenience them with staring at a big junk pile on our property.

I would highly recommend Serghi to anyone anywhere looking to do demo work. It's just too bad he doesn't do tile work anymore because we would hire him for that part of the rebuild.

It has been nothing but a pleasure working with Gena Demolition. Serhii is a standup guy, very honest and takes great pride in his work. After every day of work he and his crew cleans the jobsite so that other trades can comfortably do their work. At the end of the demo the do a very deep clean, pulling out nails and staples as they go along. Once they are done, the place is ready for floorinf, drywll etc... ive worked with Gena Demolition on 3 projects now and ive never been disappointed and know I'll be using them for many projects to come A++

Recently hired Sergii to demo a bathroom for one of my renovation projects. I was very pleased with their work. Quick, clean and professional. I will definitely hire them for my future projects

I asked him to demolish some internal wall and bulk head; I clearly advise him not to remove certain walls if they are wt bearing; he removed the whole drywalls on both sides?!! and removed the vents in the wall and threw it in the bin!!; removed the crown moulding on the wall opposite to the side of demolitions.
clearly lack of care. I noted Homestars ratings are not true reflections of the performance of many of these trades.

Did a great job. I asked to have the front entrance tiled. They removed the old ons and put in the new tiles exactly as I imagined. Levelled tiles to meet existing floor. Also added a vent cover with tile inside it for a professional looking job.

We had Gena Tile & Stone complete the demolition of our kitchen and floors, and install new floors in our entryway and kitchen. Sergei did an amazing job. His team was very respectful of our space and his attention to detail was superb. They were very thorough in their work and went above and beyond what was expected. The results were excellent! I also appreciated the transparency in his quotes and pricing - there were no surprises at the end! I highly recommend them!

Sehrii installed new tile in our foyer, as well as doing the backsplash in our basement bar kitchen - they finished on time, on budget, and were courteous, communicative, and respectful of our home. Sehrii also has a great sense of humour which was appreciated :). I would def recommend and look forward to using them again.

My wife and I decided to completely redo our main floor, however, problem was we had no idea who to use – so we decided to try Home Stars!

After looking through companies and reading through reviews, we decided to go with Gena Tile & Stone (Sergei). Before selecting him to do the job, we asked for his references in which he happily provided. (All references came back with great reviews and they all stated they will hire Sergei again)

From there, we hired Sergei to complete a 490 SF tiling project for our whole main floor from front to back of our home, plus laundry room, all using large format tiles (24x24). From initial communications until the first day of work, he was very transparent and friendly. Sergei and his helper Vladmir quickly got to work on demolition and what a big job it was!! They worked diligently throughout the project, working many late nights and everyday throughout the May 24 long weekend, keeping me informed of what they were doing. Sergei also noticed that my kitchen floor wasn’t level, along with some other areas and bought some levelling cement to adjust it to make it as perfect as possible.

They did such an amazing job and were quick and efficient.

They showed up on time, worked hard, cleaned up, and completed the project quickly within budget!

I’ll admit my wife and I are perfectionists and Sergei was great at attending to our wishes.

Look no further at hiring other tile contractors, as we highly recommend Gena Tile & Stone (Sergei) and will use them again.
