Kareem Precast

Makes pieces that don't fit . Blames it on the customer. Quotes low then gives excuses as to why it is way more than quoted. Ended up throwing out massive pieces of concrete. Had to hire new company to finish. Horrible experience and we feel taken advantage of and lost thousands of dollar. Beware.

DO NOT USE - I had an absolutely terrible experience with Sam and Kareem Precast Concrete. I would stay clear of this organization unless you want to be severely disappointed.

First off, they delayed deliver well over a week after they agreed to deliver.

Secondly, they agreed to deliver and place the steps in the location. Sam did not explain that the steps needed to be "installed" and then advised that he would do that for an additional $1000 on top of the quoted price. They dropped them on my driveway and said their machine couldn't reach the back yard. Sam then back tracked and said that dropping the precast steps is not the same as "installing" them. Ok.. I get that miscommunications happen, but would have appreciated an upfront advice on what buying precast steps, entailed from the person who is making them.

Thirdly, we received a DEFECTIVE product. Of the 5 steps, two were incorrect. Sam did send out two guys, who spent approx. 3 hours cutting one of the steps to the appropriate length, but there was clearly NO QUALITY CONTROL was completed on the steps before they were shipped out. We then had someone install the steps and it turns out one of them was wider than the other 4 by over an inch (SEE ATTACHED PICTURE). When I asked Sam to remedy the situation, he wanted me to drive, drop off the 250lb step, and pick up a new 250lb step. This is after paying several hundred $ for delivery. See attached photos for proof.

This is exactly what he wrote back (so there is no confusion):

"Hi Michael.
I can make a new step for you so that you may come and pick it up.

I only will refund if you return the piece.

Please let me know if you need me to make a new step.

It was done in a timely manor and with an acceptable quality and the result is awesome
