We've worked with Ashford homes twice now: on a whole-house renovation after we first bought a run-down and neglected 110-year-old house in 2019, and again three years later to finish the basement and rebuild a small extension on the back of the house. Emmett and his staff and subcontractors have handled a huge range of work for us, including asbestos remediation, replacing all wiring, plumbing and HVAC, removing/moving walls, framing, insulation, drywall work, plaster repair, trim carpentry, flooring (both site-finished hardwood and vinyl), tiling, painting, siding, installing cabinets and more. Among other things, these projects included completely redoing a kitchen and two and a half bathrooms from down to the studs, with beautiful results.

We hired Ashford Homes a second time because, although major renovations are always stressful, we found working with Emmett and his team was overall a good experience. Emmett is kind, funny and honest and brings real personal integrity to his work (not always a given in this industry). He expects a high standard of finish on his projects, and any time we haven't been satisfied with something he's listened to and addressed our concerns. He warranties his work and has honoured that warranty to fix a few minor issues that came up in the couple years after our first renovation was done. The individuals he employs and subcontracts to have all been quite pleasant to deal with and are for the most part very professional in their work. The end result has been a beautifully finished home which we enjoy every day.

We worked with Ashford homes to renovate a large three unit rental property. It was a century home, and they helped us bring it into the modern era while still keeping some of the beautiful features. They added 3 insuite laundries, 3 kitchen overhauls, 3 bathroom renovations. Additionally they did flooring, painting, new HVAC, asbestos abatement, in-ground plumbing and some electrical. The place looks great, and the tenants love it! Emmett and his crew were easy to work with; they always communicated issues pro-actively and gave options, and also use a software to track the schedule and the communications. Emmett has a solid sense of fairness and accountability, we appreciated his honest and transparent style. We will definitely work with them again in the future!
