Maydone Appliance Repair

My Dacor range would not go to clean because the door would not lock. I called Maydone and they scheduled an appointment for the next week.
There technician was on time, and after diagnosing the problem said we needed a new lock mechanism. He also suggested new door hinges. I said to go ahead and prepaid for the parts. They called within a few days to advise the parts were in and scheduled an appointment for today. They called two days ago and said the tech was nearby and could he come at 5 that day. He got here about 7 because of traffic and started to install the new parts. Unfortunately nothing worked. He spent four hours trying different things. The range is 25 years old,and the two parts were just not exactly the right ones. He packed up and I asked him if I would get a refund on the parts. The next day their office called me and told me they were giving me a refund without me asking. I was amazed. I offered to pay more for labour since the tech was here for four hours, but was told it was not necessary. They only added the $ 120 for the service call that would have been a credit if I had used the parts. Very impressive Company.
