These guys build my garage , and they did a super great job. They were clean pleasant to chat with and always answered my questions. The job looks great . I would hire them again in a heartbeat . I can finally park my car in the garage, thank you very much Reg and team .

One of the absolute worst companies you could choose to do any project around your house. If you like ZERO communication or someone who just sends people to your property with ZERO notice. Hire this guy. Not only will he not check any of his subtrades work, but he promises not to let you know what is happening throughout the entire process. He doesn't pay his trades on time, or at all. So when people do show up they are miserable. This company is one of the most poorly run companies I have ever encountered. Don't expect any consultation on the way you want things done. Expect poor craftsmanship, and if there is a problem. Don't expect him to do ANY warranty work, even though it says 10 years. This guy relies, and preys on people who don't know the difference between good, and bad craftsmanship.

This garage took him 6 MONTHS to build. I fired him, and re-hired him for 20% less. Even with the discount I wish I just paid more, and told this guy to get lost. It was total chaos, and I would never wish, or recommend this to anyone. WORST CONTRACTOR IN THE CITY OF CALGARY! DO NOT USE!

Here is the timeline of what transpired through out my experience with Reg. I cant just make a post like that, and not let you know what happened.

A couple of years ago my neighbors across the alley from me hired Reg. I seen they do financing, which i needed to have available. So I inquired. He came by in May 2022. He told me they could get started right away. June they broke ground. They excavated, and made the form for my garage pad. while doing this, they had to tear down some fencing. i told them i would dispose of the garbage. They decided it was a good idea to lean all of the fence panels against my existing fence, and knocked over a few panels. when I brought this up, he didn't even bother responding to any forms of communication about it. there were some weather delays, but the pad was poured in July.

With the allocated 30 days of curing time. my garage should have started construction on Aug 10. I never seen or heard from him until September. Always with some sort of lame excuse. I fired him at the start of September. he basically ignored me until I told him I would be turning away any trade that shows up at my house that has any relation to him. then we came to an agreement. Since I had to pretty much threaten him to get any sort of response, I no longer trusted him. I told him I would re hire him for 20 percent less, and his work was subject to 3rd party inspection. He agreed.

Framing Package finally comes. Framers hammer off the garage in 6 hours. Impressive. Until you take a closer look. The roof trusses were not set in line with each other, so when they sheeted the roof it is not flat. you can definitely see it clear as day. when i said something about it. the was 0 response. in fact the roofers just showed up, and roofed it a few days later. the tyvek paper was not installed under my fascia boards, so that sheathing will rot. when the framers built the walls. they did not use anything to seal off the wood, to the concrete curb. eg. foam gasket or spray foam. I also ordered 3/4 inch plywood to line my walls with instead of drywall. that is what HE suggested to me if I was to go that route. when they came, and installed it, it was 5/8 plywood. hmmmmm.

they thought they could get away with 1 trench for electrical, and gas. dug the trench in June. when October rolls around, and the want to run electrical, and gas finally. they find out they have to dig 2 different trenches, and now have to come in and dig more. All good. now it is all installed. Inspector comes. Trench is not deep enough. take it all out and keep digging. in the snow. ground is freezing. my yard is a mess.

A garage that was supposed to be finished by the start of September. Took until the middle of December. Almost 7 months. It took so long the 6 month expiry date for the loan had to be extended. over that time period, I was injured at work. now i am being paid through WCB. I tried NUMEROUS times in the summer when i was still working to get Reg to come by and do the paperwork for loan. No response. when the paperwork finally got buttoned up (no help for Reg AT ALL) they declined my application due to the fact that I had no job. They said when I was back to work. They would approve me. This was not good enough for Reg. Now it was my fault. I was supposed to do all of the paperwork myself. Let me tell you that i have used the exact same financing company with other contractors. They always came to the house, and made sure it was all done properly before work commenced. do not expect that from Reg. You will never see him again once he is done quoting. He doesn't check work, sequence trades, talk to customers, in fact Id say once he has the job, he could careless until its time to get paid. in fact. over the time when i was figuring out the financing the amount of threats, and text messages were uncanny. It was confirmed! His phone does work!! he put a lien on my house, and still refuses to remove it even though he has been paid.

All in all. Reg is a degenerate. He has no idea what he is doing, and is in way over his head. Stay away from this terrible company.

Few months back I finally decided that I needed a garage built. Went to a few different companies weighing pros and cons with larger companies and others alike. Couldn't be happier with my decision and with my final product. Thank you Eakins!

Brought my plan for a shop build to Eakins. They did exactly what I asked for and more. Couldnt recommend them enough.

Had Eakins Contracting build me a garage, all expectations were laid out from the beginning. Every expectation and more were met. They kept the original deadlines, were punctual, talked me through the whole process and were professional. Couldnt recommend this company more.

This is what happened to my dream backyard. Let me start with I always paid on time. And that i waited very very patiently since April, and it is almost September now.

After repeated ignored texts, emails and phonecalls over about 5 months, and being disrespected with wrong information all the time and being denied a copy of the proper permits, i unfortunately have to say enough is enough and i should move on because the project is clearly not being finished. I need to take charge otherwise it looks like i will have an unfinished garage through the winter.

Look at my garage's picture and visualize now having to finish your garage that the "professionals" have taken a year to work on and not even finished yet. Imagine being willing to pay the contractor and now left to have to contact different trades just to finish your backyard.

The garage they built for me has had multiple problems during the build this spring, most issues were addressed after I complained except my main issue that the angle from the alley is too steep and I was reassured it would not be a problem but now that winter is here, I have been challenging getting into the garage already. I specifically requested a level entry during the consult and before concrete was poured but I thought I could trust a professional so I didn't argue.
The far more serious problem that was not known until it snowed is the improper overlay on the walls so snow drifts are piling inside the side walls. Reg was originally quick to respond but had now stopped all communication so I am left to find and pay someone else to come fix the gap and cover the seam on the exterior walls. So disappointed

I Contacted Reg with Eakins Contracting to build me a garage. From the estimate to the response time to the quality, I was more then impressed. Fair pricing and professional from start to finish! I will recommend Reg and his company for your garage build, amazing service!
