Nordik Windows And Doors

My husband and I purchased 11 windows from Nordik in May 2020 for our remodel home. They sent a technician to confirm measurements in July and gave us an installation date of August 31, 2020… 3 months. We had a construction schedule planned with several trades, and planned the window installation right before the drywall.
Nordik arrived on August 31 to install, and sure enough all 11 windows were incorrect, they were either the wrong size and/or wrong colour. I called Nordik immediately to complain and they apologized and told me due to the deficiency in the order, they would expedite manufacturing of the new windows and deliver them in 2-3 weeks. This delay screwed up our entire construction schedule.
I wanted to ensure that they had the correct measurements, so I asked for another technician to return to remeasure. I waited weeks a for an update until finally in mid-September, I received an email from their customer service rep advising that due to the custom nature of our order, our windows had a new delivery date of October 23 or 30 (TBD). I was very upset considering this was 2 months after our original installation date. I kept reaching out to Nordik for an update on a concrete date, was it October 23 or October 30? Finally they reached out advising that due to some parts being on back order, they had to reschedule our installation to Monday, November 16. I had to rejig our trades again – not easy. The week before the new installation date, I reached out to Nordik confirming the Monday November 16 installation date and asked for an arrival time. They confirmed the date and advised between 8-10am.

I took the morning off work to meet the installers at the house at 8am… waited for an hour and 40 min until I received a call from Nordik at 9:40am. They were “so sorry” for the short notice but the windows would not be installed that day because they didn’t make the truck on Friday. I was livid. I asked to speak to a manager and was able to get a hold of Amanda Cummins (Operations Manager). She was understanding and assured me that this was a huge error on their part and their customer service rep should not have confirmed our installation date of November 16. She said that she would take over our file from that point on, and ensure our order was a priority. Amanda committed to having the windows completed and installed the following week on November 25. She was to triple check the order and provide us with updates. How can Nordik have these windows completed in a week, when they kept delaying us due to parts being on backorder?

On November 25, the truck arrived with 7 out of the 11 windows incorrect, again. Amanda said she would “triple check” the order, and yet she failed to do so. The installers completed 4 windows that day and left a mess. Amanda apologized again and advised that Nordik would return the next week to complete the installation on December 4. Again we had to rejig our trades.
On December 4th, the installation team arrived with the remaining windows and completed the job. They left a mess inside the house and out, they nicked our new walls and ceilings, they used one of our carpenter’s wood saws for cutting all the casing without permission, and they did a lousy job installing the casing.
After all this, we never got a call from Amanda or anyone from Nordik to follow up with our installation. I waited a few days and decided to email them a lengthy note with all our comments, feedback and $7,237 additional costs we incurred because of their 3 month delay and incompetence. After quite a few email exchanges between Amanda Cummins, Gord Anderson (Controller) and ourselves, they offered us an 8% credit. Completely unacceptable.
I would not recommend this company to anyone. Avoid them at all costs. They do not have the right staff and resources to manage this company properly. They caused my husband and I a great deal of stress, anxiety and money. Not worth it.

Nordik offers unique designs. I ordered this door at the end of August, and unfortunately due to COVID 19, there was a manufacturing delay. Nordik kept me well informed of the approximate delivery date. The installation was performed by Richard and Christopher. They did a perfect job and left my house interior and exterior clean. I was really pleased with their work, and would recommend them anyday!

I am really impressed with the quality of the door manufacturing. The quality of the fiberglass is far superior than most of the door brands that I saw while shopping around.

Nordik have been very quick n responsive from the beginning to end of the project. Provided communication at every necessary stage via phone, text and email. The installation date was much later than promised but to be fair, it was probably expected given 2020 covid19 and challenges faced by every type of business. My shout out however goes out to Richard & Chris, the two fine gentlemen who arrived today on time for the installation of my patio doors. They were pleasant, professional and Richard was meticulous in every detail from ensuring everything was level to the tiniest finishing detail. These guys took their time to get done right the first time! I couldnt be more pleased with the finished product! Love my new patio doors! Thanks Richard & Chris, job well done. Great doors from Nordik. Already I feel my home cosier!

The Alex and Alex crew showed up on time and worked hard to get the windows done by the end of the day - amazing job! Everything was cleaned up when they left. The windows look amazing and I feel the temperature difference already. I would highly recommend Nordik - very professional!

From the moment I contacted this company I received quick and courteous service. The patio door is made of quality materials, installation was quick but installed very well. They paid attention to small details. Would definitely recommend Nordik.

I am a happy customer. After speaking with several companies, I went with Nordik because of the emphasis on detail and quality. The installation process with efficient. They exceeded my expectations!

Phenomenal experience from beginning to end. Our contact with the Nordik rep Joseph was totally first class. He was patient and thorough in determining exactly what needed to be done and then went above and beyond in getting the work completed. All those from Nordik who came on sight were most polite and professional. Everything has turned out even better than expected Thanks to Joseph and all the Nordik team.

Put a deposit in early September for front and back door with a mid-December install date. We have had to reach out multiple times asking about install date- nothing has been booked yet, original estimate of delivery and install has come and gone. Sales staff used awful pressure sales tactics in spite of the fact that they advertise on their website on that they don’t. Inflated prices and then drop if you sign within 24 hours.

JUST RUN AWAY from this company. I regret doing business with them and at this point may just have to walk away from deposit. Just awful customer service and business all around. If you have missed your original timeline for install The company should reach out to you I shouldn’t have to follow up multiple times.

Wow - Nordik went way beyond my expectations and I consider myself quite demanding. I was skeptic because I'd recently had some home repairs done and was not pleased, however, Nordik was amazing - the quality of the products was superb but I must say what made Nordik a provider I will come back to was the service - unbelievable - we've done many, many renovations over the years and I can assure you, you've never seen workers as dedicated, responsive, precise, clean and courteous as the two installers we got - I don't want to say their names because I didn't ask them if I could but they came in, were exceptionally courteous, put down mats to ensure they didn't mess up our floors, they were wearing their masks and stayed 6 feet away at all times, they didn't waste any time and worked exceptionally hard - they were constantly checking to make sure everything was properly aligned, smooth and simply perfect. They cleaned up everything before leaving and there was nothing for us to do but enjoy our new purchase. There are definitely cheaper people out there but I promise you it's not worth it - Nordik is what you want, I assure you - avoid the hassles and aggravations and go with Nordik - I will be going back in 2021 to get some additional windows done for our home and I can't wait. My parents also got their work done through Nordik and my dad just had surgery and the guys were very quiet (as much as could be expected) and again, the quality of the work was above and beyond. I applaud you Nordik - your products are excellent - the installers you sent are beyond professional - they are exceptionally professional! Also - I can't forget the amazing lady who also went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of, organized, kept in contact and was responsive any time we tried to contact Nordik. And also the gentleman who came to do all the measurements - outstanding - so very happy we went with Nordik.

They were efficient and polite. Very tidy and left no trace of any garbage. They were ontime for appointment.Very pleased with outcome and would recommend them to others. Installation was reviewed before they left
