Install vinyl planks on stairs
Noel sent a friend of his and his son to do the job. They came the first day (Saturday) and didn't bring the tools they needed but offered to come Sunday.
I mentioned that it was a bit inconvenient but agreed. Mainly because they said it was only to take a few hours.
They came Sunday and took about six hours or more to do the stairs.
There were some significant gaps between risers and treads and some uneven cuts. I pointed out a few of them and the installer left me some brown caulking.
After a few days I noticed more and bigger gaps but thought that was just the way it was.
Since then several professionals pointed out that it was a bad job (leaving too wide gaps, not cutting long enough/straight enough, cutting planks from the wrong end and thus barely leaving enough material for the other areas.
When the first nosing started to come off and treads and risers came loose I contacted Noel.
Initially he was nice and willing to come out to look at it but in the end his responses became less as well as delayed and haven't heard from him in a week.
His son and the worker were extremely nice and courteous.
The workmanship was below average and not satisfactory
