Alterra Landscaping

We had an old upper/lower deck that we wanted replaced with an upper deck, and lower stone patio. Alterra was referred to us by the contractor who was doing the deck part of this project. In consultation with Alex, he recommended materials and made suggestions for integrating our new patio with our flower beds and the walkway alongside our house - including suggestions for fixing some of major leveling issues with our stone stairs and walkway. The crew got the job done in about a week, despite some unexpected drainage and levelling issues that cropped up. We are so happy that all of these pre-existing problems are now properly fixed. Our new interlock patio is even more beautiful than I had originally imagined it would be. Alex and the entire team were a pleasure to work with, their workmanship exceptional, and they responded professionally to unexpected issues or any changes that we requested. Thank you so much! Aleks and his team did a beautiful job with excavating and remodelling my backyard and walkways. Love the interlock stones that were laid down, providing not only a recreational use but also the ability to regain and make use of some negative space. Looking forward to the second half of the project by doing my front yard.

My only issue was the small area of grass in the backyard was not levelled properly and will get the occasional puddling after rainfall.

After requesting a quote I was contacted by Aleksander from Alterra the next day. He came out a few days later and measured the area and spoke with my wife and me. The next day her provided a detailed quote and offered to meet us at the store to see paver stone samples. From the start this company was professional to the tee. Each day a group of workers showed up on time. They were polite and accomodating if we needed something. At the end of the day they cleaned up the area and driveway. The job they did was exceptional and we were beyond pleased. They really know their stuff and did a great job. I can't say enough about Alterra. Great job.

* New base material was installed and properly compacted
* New interlock pavers were expertly installed (flat side to side, top to bottom)

Alex and his team did an amazing job, I am very happy with the results. They installed new pavers on my walkway and border around the driveway, build a new flower bed and installed an armour stone retaining wall, plus new sod all around. professional, fast, clean job. Our family has been planning to get interlocking done in our backyard since we purchased the house over 15 years ago. Alterra was referred to me by an old classmate. We contacted Alex and he was very quick to respond and come give us a quote for getting our front entrance steps, backyard interlocking redone as well as putting in new grass in our backyard and installing a gate. The quote pricing provided was WHAT WE PAID. There were NO HIDDEN FEES! We had issues with past contractors who would quote one price but would then start charging more as the job began. This was not the case with Alex. They came to do the job and finished it in 5 days, exactly the time frame he gave at the beginning. They were respectful and cleaned up after the whole project (literally nothing left for us to clean). Super happy with the job they have done and would definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking for a professional work done.

I've been talking to Alex for over a year. Just didnt pull the trigger in 2019. Finally did in Spring, but just when Covid hit so I had to wait to start. This finally happened in June. Alex was in constant communication with us and started when he said he would. Raslun did all the stone work and was fantastic. You can tell he loves his craft. His brother Ramzi removed the old material and did the joints. It was tough to remove. Extremely hard working crew and did everything they could to complete the job with quality and speed. It took 5 days in total but was worth it. Courteous and clean. Raslun was very careful to install and make sure that the work would be as weatherproof as possible given our Canadian winters. Would recommend them to anyone. Would use them again .... Clearly.
