Blue Ribbon was the only company that responded immediately and without question to my request for copies of insurance and journeyman tickets, which is what is recommended by both the federal and provincial governments when hiring a contractor. Shanahen and JoAnne were always professional, prompt, and willing to take the time to answer questions. they went above and beyond. I will definitely use them again and would recommend them to anyone.

We were pleased with Blue Ribbon Plumbing. We had a rather stressful plumbing issue where we didn't know the source of a leak. Shanahen came and located the problem and told us what he would do to assess and fix it and how long it would take and a cost estimate beforehand. He was prompt and kept us informed during the process, and answered some other questions about future jobs in our house too. He tried to minimize inevitable drywall damage as he sorted out access to the pipe in the walls. In the end a rather stressful issue was fixed with minimal stress (although I'm not sure it was stress free for him, he hid his stress well, ha ha) and the cost was even a little less than originally estimated. We'd hire Blue Ribbon again.

I was a looking for a good plumber to install my toilets in Yelp and got a quick response from Jo Ann of Blue Ribbon plumbing, heating and Gasfitting.

Shanahen had installed our three toilets and he found to be very knowledgeable in plumbing as well as heating, dedicated and hard working. He did the job with no complaints even though the toilets were one piece and very heavy. His charges were very reasonable and I would recommend Shannon for others too.

Shanahen was consistently helpful and professional, starting with a quick response to my email inquiry all the way through arranging an installation quickly. Because my old tank had been leaking, he even brought in his own equipment to pull up the extra water. I was very impressed with the price, professionalism, and service offered by Blue Ribbon and will certainly be using them again.

I reached out to Blue Ribbon PHG when my long-term plumbing provider (20 years) could not respond in a timely fashion to a plumbing emergency I had at a high-rise building of mine. As an absentee owner, this made me very anxious and made me feel betrayed by a company I had relied upon for many years and at multiple properties. In the past, I had been reluctant to use anyone else because there wasn't anyone else who was familiar with the sophisticated electronics of the boiler systems I had installed. Until I had the good fortune of meeting Shanahan at Blue Ribbon Plumbing Heating and Gasfitting (PHG hereafter). In the last six months, I have been completely satisfied with the work provided. This includes boiler maintenance, replacement of boiler components, resolving water leaks, identifying and replacing leaking plumbing fixtures, installation of an IR heater, installation of a water softener, testing backfolws (?). Going forward, I hope to have an air purifier installed on my home furnaces and installation of a modernized furnace at a high rise. I feel that I am uniquely qualified to write this recommendation and welcome any questions the reader of said comments may have.

Our sink faucet stopped working and we tried to replace it with a new one which resulted in waterworks and a required shutdown of all water. We called blue ribbon at around 7 pm and he came within 40 minutes and helped us install the water stops and our new faucet. He kept to the quoted price and solved all our issues allowing us to use water again. Highly recommend him to others.

Water heater stopped working when it was -30. Not a good thing when you have three young kids. Shanahen from blue ribbon said he was slammed but would get it done in the evening after another job in the area. He showed up at 930 pm after he said he had worked since 7 am and had another job after mine. Had the water heater running in 30 minutes. Great service and never complained once about being tired so I fed him a waffle so he had energy for the rest of his night! Thanks!! Highly recommend!!

They came when they said, did what he said, charged what he quoted. Worked through some nasty weather and with limited lighting....and was cheerful through it all.
