We were getting our home ready to put on the market but there was an issue with the plaster ceiling in the dining room. Not being able to get anyone else in to do the repairs in time to put the house on the market, we were able to get Jimmy to come in and quote the job and start within a few days. His workmanship is exemplary and we couldn't be happier about having him in our home and doing such a fabulous job and getting it all turned around in such a short amount of time! I highly recommend Jimmy for top notch work and being such a joy to deal with! We can't say enough good things about him!!

Jimmy has transformed our newly built house into a very welcoming and cozy home! With some visions and ideas we had, he executed flawlessly and made it our own with his exquisite touch and personalized approach. He is timely, professional, talented, clean, and exceptionally experienced in many facets of a renovation. We asked and he delivered a customized master bedroom feature wall, staircase feature wall, transformed powder room, a showpiece one of a kind family room/fireplace feature wall, and to top it all off left us with a mudroom feature that has style and function!! Can’t thank him enough for all his hard work and commitment on all our projects!!

Jimmy and Brian for the second time worked on some improvement in our house. This time was our laundry room and facility/maintenance room in the basement. As with the first time they proved their great skills and exceptional customer service. Even though getting all materials due to pandemic was not an easy task, there were no delays. Now our basement looks great, and it is very functional.

I wanted to convert my garage into a more usable workspace, and had some electrical work done (additional outlets installed, etc.). The electrician created some horrific holes in the old drywall to run wiring that would need to be patched. The existing drywall was in poor condition to begin with, and half of the garage had no drywall at all.
I called Jimmy at Portu Galo and was impressed immediately with his professionalism and obvious expertise.
The work went quickly, and the results were beyond what I was expecting for my old garage. Very professional job! I would recommend Jimmy and his team anytime.
