Would not recommend J and J Moving
There are a number of companies called "J & J Moving". The review I'm referring to is the company that John runs.
I hired a two-people crew since it was a simple one-bedroom move and John agreed on the phone that a two-people crew was sufficient.
When the date of my move arrived, three guys arrived (Cliff, Q and Tyler). Cliff tried very hard to convince me to hire Tyler as well however, my partner was with me and knew given the difference in hourly rates and the fact that I had very little to move, that Cliff was incorrect. I felt a lot of push back on this and was not happy: the only reason they pressured me on hiring Tyler is that the earlier move they had for a detached home involved three men and clearly Tyler wanted to get paid. Cliff and Q made some damage to my bed frame and also were taking their own time moving things - more than twice, they were nowhere to be seen and likely hanging out killing time in the loading dock - like more than 20 minutes passed before they came back up to pick up their next load.
Also, after having found my invoice since Homestars requested for my invoice and proof that I indeed used J & J moving company, I saw that the invoice stated the moving crew would "-MOVERS WILL HAVE MASKS AND GLOVES FOR YOUR PROTECTION". I can 100% guarantee that none of the movers wore masks even when we first met them because my partner and I were wearing masks and we were silently put off about this: we did not want to upset them by bringing it up and simply kept our own masks on.
I absolutely will not work with this company again nor would I ever recommend them. I already got another moving company referral that is reliable from friends who have used another company recently.

Homestars asked for a receipt because Cliff and Q have not worked here since Oct. 2021 and I could not understand why it took seven and a half months to post a review.
Communication is the foundation of our company. Nothing is more important, anytime J and J Moving has a crew working, John or Scotty are available for any issues. Sounds like your crew were not respresenting our company the way we will tolerate. One phone call to either of us would have resolved this, and anything we can do to rectify your experience, just call or email anytime.
