Got It Maid

We were initially thrilled, house was clean, but then noticed an odd and wholly unpleasant smell that lingered and we could not get rid of. Not sure if it was the products used or possibly rags / cloths that were used for everything (we did not have toilets done). Based in this alone we would not hire them again. Agree that it took them a long time, even longer then expected, but this is what I asked for - a deep clean. In response to those that felt Ken and Mindy spent time on things that were not needed or wanted I would recommend having a chat about needs and expectations in advance.

I hired Mindy & Ken to clean 2 floors of my home. Though the rates they gave in advance a ere high, I too, much the like other reviewer has noted, had high hopes that it would be worth the extra expense. While they may have taken time to clean our ceiling fans, it came at the cost of them paying not great attention to other areas of the home I had hoped would be cleaned. I did not see them clean walls as other reviewers on Facebook had experienced. Countertops and our kitchen cabinets were wiped using the same cloths as the floors and baseboards.

They damaged some of our fixtures and missed cleaning an entire bathroom on one of the floors despite somehow spending 6+ hours in our home.

I would not say that their services are worth the price and in fact think they over charge. Their hourly rates are more than I make by the hour at a full time job and they took their time cleaning I’m not sure what exactly, so that by the end of the experience our total bill was close to $800.

I would not recommend their services unless you can afford to pay their insane rates for mediocre service. I’m not normally one to post reviews or be negative but I feel others deserve to know this as the reviews on Facebook are not entirely accurate. I would echo much of what was said in the other review on this site.

I hired Mindy and her team based on good reviews and recommendations on local Facebook groups, plus an in-home meeting to assess our needs. She said that the initial deep cleaning would get into all the nooks and crannies, under and behind all furniture etc so that it could then be maintained on a bi-weekly basis. While her rate was much higher than I had ever paid in the past, I viewed it as an investment in an ongoing, high quality service that would make my life a lot easier. I was ready to be blown away by the amazing job she was going to do, but in the end I was completely stunned by how much money I wasted.

Mindy came with her husband and two employees. She texted me shortly before their arrival "Please don't talk $$ in front of my staff". I found this quite an unnecessary thing to say to me and not particularly professional.

At this price point I think most people would expect every surface to be touched and everything to be spotless. Mindy's husband did some unusual things like take down a light fixture to clean and changed the lightbulbs, as well as clean an AC unit filter. I thought that was a nice touch but not if at the expense of getting the basics done. In fact, floor areas such as under beds, bedside cabinets and around the sides of rooms/in corners did not appear to have been mopped, and in some cases possibly not even vacuumed. A multitude of areas were not cleaned properly, including kitchen cupboard fronts, toilets, floors, sinks and glass.

Mindy seemed particularly pleased about having done the job quickly - as the client, it is of no benefit to me if the job is rushed and corners are cut. I appreciate a quick and efficient job as I work from home so don't want people here all day, but the end result did not meet my expectations and was not worth what I paid for it. I also specifically asked Mindy to make sure that she and her team didn't make undue noise by shouting around the house to each other if they needed to communicate - this was totally ignored and was disruptive to me while I worked.

I would not usually make a complaint but Mindy hugely over promised and under delivered.
