Unprofessional and sloppy work
Fantastic first impression, unfortunately extremely dissatisfied with the work we were left with.
Original scope of work:
-install shower pan at existing bath location, relocate 1 toilet, relocate 1 vanity, add 1 bathtub rough in and add in a full powder room rough in (directly adjacent to existing bath). Quote= 1500. Quote is high, but licensed plumber and we needed it done right. He seemed professional, was respectful, courteous, well spoken and seemed to know what he was doing. Scope changed to only shower pan install and powder room rough in + a shut off valve. Charge after complete= 1200.... Eyebrows raised at this price for less than half the original quoted scope, but work was complete and our fault for not clarifying the price adjustment prior, so we paid in full, no questions. Unfortunately, we also paid prior to review of work.
On review it was found that (pics attached):
Toilet rough in was not centered between the wall studs as discussed, and installed far enough back that we now have to move the air vent to put the wall in. The copper pipe is too long and on an angle. The sink drain is on a downward angle and the pipes sloppy and on an angle. The shut off was also not clipped in. And after finding all of this, we inspected the shower pan, to find that the DRAIN ISNT EVEN CONNECTED! Basically the entire scope was either done incorrect, or sloppy. Paying the rate we were paying (basically the rate of a master plumber) we would expect the quality of a Master plumber.
Prior to posting a review, I wanted to ensure that the opportunity to rectify the situation was given; however, with the quality of work left, we didnt want any further plumbing work done on our house. When approached, he felt that a 150 refund was sufficient for the work remaining, and when questioned on how the work completed was worth over 1k, the original refund was cancelled with no response. When i let him know that i was giving benefit of the doubt that he was still intending to rectify, I was advised that he has contacted a lawyer and is crying blackmail. Luckily, my fiance is a GC and was able to notice these issues prior to the bathrooms being finished, so we didnt end up in a mess. Unfortunately, we paid a premium to have something done right and are left with a mess.

- Company Response
Ten days after this project this client contacted Poly-B LTD with a written message stating they were dissatisfied with the work performed. Poly-B LTD has always happily and gladly returned to any job site to address any concerns and in this case the client flat out refused. (This is the first red flag) Poly-B LTD then decided that monetary compensation for the concerns the client had would be the only option. The client still seemed very disgruntled and continued to write to this professional is a disrespectful and condemning fashion and then demanded an outrageous amount of money in return or else the client would be putting negative reviews on-line. (Another red flag) Poly-B LTD has never encountered this type of client in the past. This year alone 80 calls have been performed and not one complaint until now. There is no way to confirm the concerns this client brought forth in this case and it is bizarre to hear about the issues ten days after the work was complete as well as not being able to observe it in person is not reasonable. It is truly unfortunate and Poly-B LTD is taking this matter seriously. A lawyer has been involved and it is confirmed this is extortion.
