Was disappointed by the experience, quality of work, poor management, did not want to pick up supplies (said it was the clients responsibility so what's the point of having a contractor), makes mistakes, doesn't take responsibility for them, blames and penalizes client. For example, we would highlight something that was breaking (floors) or something that was not done well (paint) and he would try to gaslight us and tell us the floors are breaking because our furniture is too heavy or the paint job is not done well because I had picked the colour white and if I want to get it fixed I should pay for it bc it was my colour choice or furniture that was causing the problem. Low and behold when a different company came to fix the floors, we found cardboard pieces underneath the wood - a cheap fix to level the floor vs concrete. When things needed to be fixed, he gave us a lot of attitudes and said that it will be fixed when it's fixed. And to be honest, everything in our house except the tiles, had to be redone or fixed. He also told us we rushed him. He told us the job would be done in 8 weeks it took 5 months because he would stay at our place for half a day and do another job and said the poor job was done bc we were rushing him. No, it is because he was unorganized and not focusing on our project.. He would leave people here - they would take short cuts and then he wouldn't check the work. So again, what is the point of having a contractor that doesn't supervise or check the quality of the work. people will judge you in the end for how you treat them once they have paid you and they find something wrong. The only reason he fixed it end is because we complained to the the real estate agent who was a family friend otherwise I don't think he would have cared.
