Bobby The Plumber

Do NOT use Bobby and if you do, do NOT give him an upfront deposit!

Bobby gave us a quote over text for $900 to rough in a shower faucet. He said he could do the job for us on Aug 7th but he required a 50% deposit right away in order to save the spot. On July 27th I e-transferred Bobby the 50% deposit of $450.

On July 30th, we heard back from another plumber that we'd previously asked for a quote. This quote was only $565 compared to Bobby's $900. So the same day I sent a text to Bobby saying "Hi Bobby, we have a plumber referred by a neighbour who's more of a junior plumber who can do the work for much less. Are you able to fill our spot for next week with someone else and return our deposit? If not no worries we'll honour our commitment."

Bobby responded to my text saying he'd return half of our deposit $225. I responded saying that if he won't give us the entire deposit back then we'll just stick to our original commitment and have him do the work. Bobby then accused me of playing games to which I responded no we're just not going to pay him $225 for doing nothing. To this Bobby responded by saying he's no longer willing to return any of our $450 deposit to compensate him for wasting his time (please note that Bobby never visited our home and only spent a couple minutes on the phone with me when he provided the quote). I responded saying that he still has to come on Aug 7th to do the job per our original agreement. Bobby responded to this by insinuating that l cancelled the job and hired another plumber. I responded again noting that at no time did I cancel the job nor hire another plumber so he had to either come and do the job or give us our full $450 deposit back.

Bobby just continued to refuse to do the job. He said he'd only agree to going back to returning half our deposit which he did on July 30th.

Therefore, Bobby took $225 of our money which was supposed to be a partial upfront payment for a job that he refused to do.

Hired Bobby for a bathroom reno. Some of the finishes were not done correctly and we had to call another plumber to come and fix it. We had hired him for a minor plumbing issue previously which went ok.

We were having issues with our garburator that was causing the water to back up. We decided on removing it all together. We called Bobby and he came within hours to fix it. Everything works great now. Clean, professional, and quick job done.

Wa1s recommended to me by a contractor installing tiles in a my rental unit.  This was a rush job so I did not get a chance to look around for plumber's and trusted the recommendation from the tiling contractor.  It ended up being quite an extensive job and was advised by Bobby that I needed to replace the bathtub, shower, shower fixtures and faucets.  He did complete the job and was paid $3,277.00 which I thought was quite expensive.  Less than 2 weeks later my tenant advised me that when she was having a bath that the shower was also running at the same time and that the drainage was running slower than before the work was done.  I subsequently called Bobby and explained the the situation to him, I was told that he was very busy and he didn't know when he would be able to come back he asked me to call him back in a week from now.  I called him back a few days later and asked if he could please let me know when he would be available to come after receiving a message from my tenant.  His response was... I am to busy, stop harassing me....I did not give you a written contract
and that I should look for another plumber.  I told him that he was paid in full but the job was not  satisfactory  He was very rude and unprofessional 
and refused to come back and check his work.  I then had no choice but to call another plumber
and pay an additional $500.00 to correct Bobby's errors.  After reading the above reviews and qualifications it's hard to believe this is the same person who treated a senior person so disrespectful and did not honor his verbal contract and guarantee. 

---In response to the Contractors comment ---

In response to your comment you and I both know that what you have said above is not true.

You left me no choice but to contact another plumber since you stated in a text message I received "that you were paid in full, you completed your job and to find another plumber" and the minor problem that you are referring to cost me an additional $500. To correct your error.

I was very patient with you, I had to call you several times and you did now want to commit to coming back.

If you would have said when and if you were coming back I would not have had to look for someone else to fix your problem.

Also in your response you mentioned that I was extremely demanding and verbally abusive. That is completely not true. In fact I was very patient, very polite and extremely understanding with you.

You should have at least come back to check the problem and by no means did I threaten you in any way and in your own words as per your text msg you were paid and for me to find another plumber.

Also if you were deeply sorry you should have paid back the additional $500 to fix your problem.

I am building a new home and had Bobby and Co. do the plumbing. They work efficiently and follow their proposed schedule. The house passed rough plumbing inspection without a hitch.

Bvm has been working with us for over a decade now and has done numerous project with us and will continue to do so.
Bobby and his team are extremely reliable, very respectful, professional and always do amazing work. Whether it be new construction, Reno, commercial etc.

I noticed a puddle on the floor of my vanity washroom. When I went to inspect, there was a water flowing out from under the sink from the faucet. Bobby was recommended from a friend of mine. I called him and he was able to come right away. He was very polite and professional. He determined where the leak was coming from and explained to us exactly what had to be done. Luckily, he had all of the parts in his truck so the job was completed promptly.
All in all, the service was excellent.
I would definitely recommend Bobby the Plumber to anyone and everyone.

I had a few plumbing contractors come to quote the renovation i had at my home and none of the contractors were educated enough as Bobby. He knew what he was talking about and his prices were reasonable. Once accepting bobby to start the job his work was really clean and had no issues with clean up like the other trades that were working at my home i would definately recommend his company to anyone

I highly recommend Bobby, The plumber, he, as a worker, is very professional. He was very punctual. I will be calling him again for any future renovations or any leaks. This plumber is highly recommended.
