Tony did not do a walk through. We had told him we were moving from a 4 bedroom and were downsizing. When we called the confirm the week before he told us that he had taken another job in the am and would be there around 1 instead of 9 am. When he got to us he did a walk through and said that we needed a 2 nd truck at the last minute, he then said no worry he would help us unload the 2 nd truck. The loading was ok but the downloading next day was really bad. He yelled and was unprofessional to his employees. He also told us he could not get couch and box spring in basement which my children did easily. He also left and said that he could not do second truck. Left him a message and when he called he would not listen just yelled which we recorded and I will tell you it was pretty bad. Tony should stick to local moves and small moves as he obviously is not equipped to do big moves. I regret not doing my research but went on word of a sibling who had been moved by him but it was a small move. I will never recommend this mover to anybody

PLEASE BE AWARE THIS COMPANY IS PROBABLY THE WROST MOVING COMPAGNY IN OTTAWA. I will not recommend this company. I used that company for my last moving in November 2020. It was a nightmare… I have decided to go with this company because of the comment I read here, their website looked professional and Tony seemed to know what he was doing. He is my nightmare : When the movers arrived they had no information about my moving, there weren’t organized, complained a lot, they were augmenting about everything, they stretched the time to get paid 8 hours, they didn’t have experience moving elliptical (but Tony said so when I booked my moving with him). They did not have the tool and equipment for the moving: drill not charged, not enough blankets to wrap my furniture, no straps to lift heavy furniture, etc.. They were unprofessional : leaving furniture not assembled or wrapped in plastic, and the job not finished, they left a piece of my bed at my previous house even after I told them 2 times to put it in the truck. They damaged the front door and some of my furnitures wrapped in plastic instead of banquet have been damage . The manager/owner, Tony refuse to take his responsibilities. Tony was very friendly until I called him with concerns. He got upset, told me I has a bad customer since the beginning, he was condescending, arrogant and had no respect for my as a client. They took 27 hours (3-4 staffs) to move a 3 bedrooms house with no appliance and no box for a distance of 10 km in Orleans, that’s a lot of time, total cost $2000.
FYI the movers did wear mask; I thought this was mandatory because of Covid.

hired them for a move from 2 rooms in a house to a one bedroom apartment. Have them 250 for deposit. When the movers arrived they didn't like the state of the house that owns 3 cats. Insulted the house owners and caused 300 in damages to my friends e-bike. When my friend confronted the owner about the damage the owner of the company threatened violence towards my friend. On top of everything he refused to give me my deposit back as they never moved anything. Do not use these people. Especially if you are disabled. They seem to only want able bodied clients with no pets so they don't actually have to do much work

This was our second time using this company and they did not disappoint us. They did a great job and worked hard on the move, and managed to finish the move in well under 3 hours which was great. I highly recommend Discount Moving And Storage!!!

Discount Moving Ottawa has been amazing. Tony in the office was incredibly friendly, helpful, and all around wonderful with setting everything up and answering my many questions. The crew they sent us was fantastic. Experienced, friendly, so helpful, and so fast!!
I would definitely recommend Discount Moving Ottawa, and will absolutely use them again next time I move.

Tony and his crew were fantastic! They arrived on time, were very efficient, polite and fast. They packed and unloaded my belongings in 6 hours. I was very impressed and highly recommend them

They arrived on time with an extra person and handled the move very professionally. No damage to property during the move. They were very polite and helpful and followed all instructions with alacrity. I have no qualms in recommending them.

I hired this company to help me move and everything was going good getting everything packed until we went to my new place they became sloppy and didn't care they dropped items as well

THE OWNERS NAME ISN'T TONY. ITS MOHAMAD AND HE IS A CRIMINAL. MOHAMED IS RESPONSIBLE FOR MY UNCLES DEATH. BEWARE. DON'T LET THESE PEOPLE IN YOUR HOUSE.

The move was today. My wife called me two hours into the move and told me these guys aren't doing anything. They are loud, disrespectful and unprofessional. I came home from the office and it brought tears to my face that the man responsible for my uncles death was in my house doing a move. As soon as he saw me he demanded his money and drove off.

PLEASE BEWARE !

Show up at the time agreed upon would be helpful and appreciated. One hour late is not terribly late considering it is the work of residential move, but as the first move of the day, it is upsetting. 7:30 agreed upon, 8:30 arrival. Tenant was up at 6:30 with everything at the door ready to go. No one should be charged "$50" or any money for a receipt. That may be illegal.
