We used Land Escapes Durham for our Backyard Patio and Retaining Wall project, we couldn't have made a better decision. First we met with Chris who helped us design our new Patio, select the stone and presented us with three estimates. That's how we picked Ryan and Matt at Land Escapes Durham. Chris was in constant communication with us before, during and after the project completion. We could get in touch with Chris and Ryan at any time day or night and they would always answer our question right away. Ryan and Matt's attention to detail and the exceptional quality of workmanship was far more than we expected. Both take tremendous pride in their work and it shows throughout the project. Ryan and Matt worked 10 hour days and never did we see them take breaks. They were very respectful of our property and cleaned up the site at the end of each day. It was an absolute pleasure having Ryan and Matt work for us.
We used to look at our backyard and found excuses not to go out there but Ryan and Matt transformed our backyard into a new living space. Now we use it every time we get a chance and we added to the resale value of our house. We highly recommend Land Escapes Durham and we will be using them for any work we need done in the future.

Ryan and Matt showed great care and attention to detail from beginning to end. Ryan did a great design (drawing first, so we could see what things would look like), helped us pick the steps and stones best suited for what we wanted, and did a great job excavating, leveling, and laying the stonework, steps, and sod with minimal waste. They cleaned up thoroughly at the end of each day, and we are thrilled with the final result. Highly recommend!

Ryan and Matt did an excellent job on our front landscaping. They were easy to work with, patient and friendly. Their work site was clean and safe. Ryan had some great design ideas, always paying attention to detail. Fair value for a high level of craftsmanship. We have already recommended them to family and friends who would agree with the same!

Our project was a large undertaking. I must have asked a million questions and Ryan patiently answered all of them. They did a incredible job. Professional, prompt, hardworking and always pleasant.

We have had a non stop stream of neighbors stopping in front of the house to admire their work and ask for Ryan and Matt's company information.

We will be hiring them to do the back yard next summer as well. We couldn't be more pleased. Please note in final photos driveway has not yet been paved, we chose to wait until spring, after house renos are done so heavy equipment and dumpsters wouldn't damage it.

We had great experience with this company. Our project wasn't a big one-2 days only, but it was treated with respect,knowledge, excellent craftsmanship, and in a timely manner.
We had interlock done around our new porch and back door. Our leaking basement problem was addressed as well during installation as well as a blocked drain pipe.
Part of the lawn leveled up and new sod installed.
Our front steps leveled. Matt came with some design ideas I didn't think of. And outcome was great.
If we ever have to do any landscaping in the future this is the company we will go with. No more shopping around.

We felt very comfortable with Matt from the first time we spoke to him. He listened to our ideas, patiently revised the backyard design several times and always had our best interests at heart. The work started on time, the workmanship and quality is exceptional.
The backyard turned out to be exactly what we wanted, modern, simplistic, clean and neat. The pergola, Stone patio, artificial grass and the flower bed looks amazing and we can’t wait to use this backyard next summer.

We are very lucky that we chose Land Escapes Durham to do our landscaping. Their price was more than reasonable but what sold us was Matt's design and explanation of a grading issue that we otherwise would have been unaware of. Matt and Ryan worked quietly and efficiently (my toddler never woke up from his nap despite his window being right above the work area) and I was impressed by how patient and thorough they were prepping the base for our interlock. No short cuts taken and we love the final product. It was the final piece to make our house a home and we would 100% recommend them to anyone looking to have work done.
