New home

We are very happy with our new Park Royal Home in Aspen Trails! Everything was well explained and that really helped us to understand the process and deadlines which are associated with home building. From the sales consultant to the interior designer and also the guys building our home, everyone was very helpful. When our kids are older, we’ll be back to see these guys for a bigger home!!

New House Build

This builder is one of the worst I have ever dealt with. Once you sign the contract they are extremely difficult to deal with. When issues arise they find any reason not to take responsibility for there mistakes. We had a mold issue in our basement which they came in to fix. They didn't treat the area correctly and now the mold has returned and is even worse then before. I brought a mold remediation company to evaluate the situation and get a quote/report. I submitted the quote/report to Park Royal that clearly shows that the manor they treated the mold the first time was 100% incorrect and actually promoted mold growth. I asked them to bring in the proper personnel in to deal with the mold properly. The response I got back was no surprise. They said the warranty had expired and they would not do anything to correct the issue. Now I'm suck with a bill to fix this problem even though it is an issue they should be responsible for. This is just one of many issues I have had with them but don't have time to list them all. I would never recommend this builder to anyone and would strongly urge anyone thinking of building with them to reconsider.

The customer service with this company is abysmal. Once you sign a contract with them, you go from being their best friend to being treated like a second class citizen. We've had nothing but issues with them from the moment they broke ground, till after their warranty period. The workmanship is terrible, getting your warranty serviced never happens on time, or just never happens at all. Their site supervisors keep quitting, and whoever comes to take their place hides behind customer service and use them as a shield to ignore you. If by some miracle you do get to speak to them, they're rude. A good suggestion would be to send them to some soft skills classes. The only good thing about this company is the person that helped us pick our home, but they made a wise choice and quit the company. Please think twice, and look somewhere else, before considering building a home with Park Royal Homes. I've already guided 6 friends that were looking to build a home to not consider Park Royal Homes. There's a reason they don't want to be listed on the BBB.

New Home In Parkland

We started this process back in Oct 2012 and we were told we would have our house by early fall, we moved in 5 days before Christmas. I would not recommend Park Royal Homes to any one. There are so many different things that upset us I could not get it all in.
They don't follow their contracts and don't make their contractors follow them either. Ashley Flooring made a mistake on the quote which ALL PARTIES signed off on 9 months prior and instead of Park Royal handling this they gave their contractor my personal cell number. Long story short they bully us and we end up paying thousands of extra dollars on our house.
They got our house and another house they started two months after ours mixed up and finished that house a month and bit before ours. Call them number of times about this.
Over the corse of 14 months they have ZERO Customer Service. Think twice before doing business with Park Royal and Ashley Flooring .

They treat the contract they have with their customers like toilet paper... I don't know why they even have it since they don't follow it at all.

Their customer service is non-existent, when you finally get through to someone they don't understand what you are asking and just give you random answers to questions you didn't even ask.

So far in my house they haven't addressed any of the one year warranty issues I've presented them. I keep getting told someone will contact me in a couple days and then weeks go by, when I ask again it's the same story. This has been going on for 7 months now.

I would never build with them again and would recommend anyone looking stay away unless you like going to court...

New House

DO NOT USE THIS BUILDER!

They were very nice to me all the way up until I signed the papers, then I had issue after issue with them.

1. Their interior decorator who you have to use to choose the finishings is useless. Everything I picked out she said she didn't like. I will take advice/consideration from other people but it was literally everything I looked at. I went with my gut and chose what I wanted anyway and have received compliments on everyone who has come to visit so far. She also didn't write down my selections correctly which turned into a several thousand dollar mistake from the original quote (which of course I had to pay for), but had I known it would be that much more I might have gone with alternative selections.

2. They nickel and dimed me. It seemed like every couple weeks as the house was going up I'd get a call to come to the showhome because something came up. I ended up having to pay several thousand dollars more because of their oversights or not the truth to squeeze money out of me. A couple examples:

-the driveway was longer than we expected (even though they had given me the final drawings for everything months before) so you need to pay us a few thousand dollars.

-we didn't tell you but the garage door needs windows, it's a neighborhood requirement, we need more money. (mine was one of the first houses to go up, now that there are more I realize this was not the truth as many houses don't have garage door windows)

3. What I was told was "standard" in the showhome wasn't... After the house was nearing completion I noticed things that were supposed to be standard being left out. When I asked they said they had made a mistake on the "standards" list, there were multiple items that were supposed to be listed as extras but were mistakenly listed under standard. I said I was expecting these items as it states the "standards" list right in the contract. They basically said too damn bad if you want any of those you'll have to pay to have it taken out and done the way you want. I spoke to my lawyer about this and he agreed I was clearly in the right but it would cost more to go to courts then it was worth.

4. The basement is currently leaking water, their advice to me was to monitor it. I'm still well within the one year warranty period but they do not want to do any work to fix it.

5. They included basic landscaping as part of the package. Since I moved in in November it was to be done first thing in summer. I signed a document saying they would have it done by July 1st, as of right now it's almost the end of September and they are still not done. The lady in charge of their landscaping department told me it is so delayed because of the weather, she said they couldn't work 2-3 days after it rained. A couple weeks ago they finally delivered the topsoil and placed it in a huge pile in the middle of my driveway so I couldn't get in or out. That night there was a huge thunderstorm and tons of rain. Yet the next morning they were out spreading the topsoil. When I confronted her about it since this exact type of weather was the apparent reason for the delays she was untruthful to me and said she never said that.

Sorry to whoever got through this, it turned out a bit longer than I was anticipating but I hope this steers any potential buyers away from this company. The stress of dealing with them in my opinion was not worth it, I know there are issues with most builders but the way they handled my issues was extremely unprofessional.

House builder

We purchased our home almot a year ago and are still waiting to get possession 4 monhts after the date we were given, since the beginning the amount of construction errors has been overwhelming, no one reads the blueprints, when you expect to discuss something they never respond or want to deal direclty with you, their customer service is the worst we have ever received and they even dare to brag about good customer service. I wish we had found reviews for this Company: Park Royal Homes before we purchased but unfortunately there were none! so I hope this review helps some people to be carefull if buying in their new developments in the Edmonton area. No one that treats his customers in such an arrogant, careless, ignorant and rude way should be running a business, and if they do, I am sure they will not stay there too long. All neighbors at Legacy Pointe in La Perle have gone thru this nightmare one way or another.

New home built

The company built out home very well. We didn't have any major issues after we moved in and the sales person and foreman was always there to answer our questions. It took approx. 6 months to build and the move in inspections went extremely well too. The only issue wa had was tryi to get the 6month inspection work done in a timely manner..but the work did get done well when it was completed. We would build with them again.
