Radon Mitigation

Well the dynamic duo of Hal and Andrew were very professional , plesant and knowledgeable. I have a better understanding than the average person about Radon but they both broadened my knowledge.

The whole process (including a sump installation) took just about 5 hours. Protected our floors with coverings and ensured everything was cleaned up when the left.

My avg. Radon levels were about 300 Bq/m3 and at time of visit was 270 Bq/m3. After 24 hours of being installed , my levels dropped to as low as 4 and a high of 20. Excellent job. Highly recommend

Radon Mitigation

My neighbour had radon mitigation done to his house and used Mr Radon. He was quite pleased with the results so when I tested my rec. room over two winters and the results were above recommended values I reached out to Mr Radon for a quote. I had requested information from a local radon contractor but never got a reply. Every time I emailed a questioned or concern to Mr Radon they responded quickly and they addressed the question to my satisfaction. They did request a re-schedule of the first installation date due to scheduling issues but this was not a problem. The two gentlemen that installed the system were very knowledgeable not only on the construction side of the process but also on the science involved with radon and the mitigation process. The installation went fast and they put down protection for my floors and they left the place clean and neat. I would recommend them.

Radon Mitigation - Perfection

I just discovered what Radon gas was recently and tested my levels which were over 250. I contacted Mr. Radon with lots of questions and they were quick and polite in answering every question I had. They were able to book an appointment very quickly and the technicians they sent over to install the mitigation system were amazing and friendly. They were in and out within a few hours and left the place sparkling. I cannot recommend Mr. Radon enough for all of your radon gas needs.

Radon Mitigation

I watched a special that Mike Holmes presented 10-15 years ago, and he was subcontracting a septic system installation. The contractor was installing a Radon system and explained the dangers of not only doing it right but not having one installed for the homeowner’s future health. This has been on my mind for years and I finally purchased an Airthings with Bluetooth so I could get real-time readings of the Radon in my basement. My Initial reading was 350 Bq/m3 which was alarming since Canadian standards are 200 Bq/m3 and the UK is 100 Bq/m3. I took the readings for 3 months and started to reach out to different Radon mitigation companies and happened upon Mr. Radon. When I initially called Sherry, she was wealth of information that I needed to make an informed decision. I was completely reliant on Sherry's expertise. I asked for a quote for the service and was surprised and relieved at what was included. I wanted an appointment ASAP and Sherry kept in contact with me to get me in the schedule quickly. The tech's showed up at my home earlier than scheduled, good start. They were both very friendly and excited to get my readings at a safe level. They were worried because I had 2 levels in my concrete pad and would possibly need 2 systems, but they received good pressure readings from opposite ends of my basement. They were very professional and conscientious about keeping my home clean, tarp down the stairs, vacuum everything clean before leaving. Gave me all the information I needed to know about the system, warranty information and what to look for on the pressure gauge. They were in my home for about 3 hours. All in all, it was a pleasant experience. Immediately the readings started to decline. The next morning, I had reading at 76 Bq/m3, the day after it was 53 Bq/m3 and its gotten as low as 17 Bq/m3. I feel safe in my home again, all my workout equipment is in the basement, and I've been working out for years down there without giving this a second thought. They left 2 test kits to test the air quality for a 4-day period, sent them back and my readings were 36 Bq/m3. I like other homeowners go day by day not knowing that this could be a hazard, and unless I had seen the program with Mike Holmes I never would have known about the dangers of Radon. This should be standard practice when investigating or purchasing a home. Knowing the current readings and having a mitigation system in place to keep your family safe. I would highly recommend Mr. Radon to have your system put in place. Sherry was wonderful and understanding of my concerns and the urgency I wanted this issue taken care of. If you need to reach out to me for more information about my experience, please contact Sherry at Mr. Radon and I'd be more than happy to answer any question you might have. Dave R

Radon Mitigation - exceptional service!

Had no idea what Radon was until a family friend alerted us to do a check. To our surprise the levels were well over 300. After some research we settled on Mr. Radon and we're so glad we did. The folks at Mr. Radon really took care of us. Great service all around from the first point of contact. Their team is very responsive and takes the time to educate you on any questions. The installation was done in a timely manner and the crew made sure to inform us of every decision that was being made. Their follow up after completion is very thorough to ensure levels are as promised. Our readings are down to 13 now, amazing!

Greatly Reduced Radon Level

Two Mr Radon mitigation system installers showed up on time and got right to work. After a they did a few tests they installed the system. I was given an overview on how it works and how to do the testing. Our radon level went from 440 to 18.3 within a week of the installation. They did a good clean up job before leaving. The fan in the basement is very quiet but the outside sound is a bit loud; not bothersome though. We will likely turn the fan off in the warm weather when we have all the windows open. They left us a 90 day radon test to confirm the short term test levels.

Radon mitigation - peace of mind

We purchased the Airthings digital radon detector to recheck our levels after 12 years. To our surprise, the radon levels in our bedroom on the 2nd floor was 150, sometimes peaking to over 200. After reading a good review of Mr. Radon from a colleague and filling out their questionnaire, we engaged them for a radon mitigation system.

The system was installed in one day. The crew showed us the high radon levels under the slab and demonstrated the pressure changes from various points in our basement. They left two radon kits (short term and long term), demonstrated the system, and cleaned up the site. The short term test in the basement revealed a level of <50 and our bedroom is now in the single digits, with one day reporting a level of 0.

Thanks for the peace of mind Mr. Radon. We have recommended you to our friends.

Wonderful

We bought a 90 day radon kit and our levels came back quite high. We called a few Radon Mitigation companies and decided to go with Mr Radon as they appeared very knowledgable. They came out quickly and were extremely nice, professional And cleaned up completely! Since our house is so old and the dirt is compacted they told us that they may have to come back due to suction issues. They came back and did the original plan and viola, it worked. So impressed with every aspect of this company. Would highly recommend!!!
