WOW — Just wow! This has been our best experience with a home improvement project to date!
Stone and Cedar is, simply put, professionalism, quality and integrity all in one.

Back in March, we began our search for a fence company and had several come by for quoting. Robert, the owner of Stone and Cedar, promptly came and reviewed our property. Immediately we were impressed by his professionalism and clear communication of his vision for our fence.

Robert provided a detailed quote and was more than willing to discuss materials and brands and helped to educate us on the choices that were available. Never once did we feel pressured or up-sold which was great. At this point we were confident that we wanted to work with Stone and Cedar.

In-between our deposit and the start of the project, Robert would periodically communicate with us to let us know if we were on schedule. (Inclement weather can affect outdoor construction). The project began on time and we were blown away by the speed in which our fence took shape. At each major step, we would be consulted on the plan. If we were unsure, Robert shared his expertise and advised us on what would not only be functional, but also aesthetically pleasing. This level of communication gave us a ton of peace of mind, because with each day that passed, we knew that we were in the best hands for the job!

Other points to note which were impressive: Tidiness, approachability and constant attention to detail, (an area where other contractors have let us down in the past). Every piece was sanded, components were finished tastefully and every cut was re-stained to create a seamless end product that FAR exceeded our exceptions. We didn’t just have a fence… we have a beautiful fence, and we are still in awe every time we see it!

When the project ended, Robert left the work area spotless. He even offered advise on landscaping as we were having some trouble with grass from a previous project.

Would we use Stone and Cedar again? ABSOLUTELY!

It was such an amazing experience working with Stone and Cedar. Robert is exceptionally talented and is meticulous, thoughtful and detail oriented all the way from concept and design to construction of our deck and screens. When we met him to discuss our project, his enthusiasm and knowledge were evident. He was honest with regards to material choices and clearly very experienced with design ideas. He provided precise drawings to help us visualize our transformed outside space and provided a lot of great design ideas, all within our budget (unlike other competitors who were clearly upcharging us to contract out our project with a lengthy completion timeline).

He showed up every day with a smile and cleaned up the work site to ensure the area was safe for our 3 young children. He was punctual with completion of project and was even flexible for additional ideas that we presented to him regarding custom planters and privacy screens (and still finished on time). He and Mike are extremely trustworthy and reliable - they delivered exactly what was promised; they even spread grass seed and fertilizer on parts of our grass where their equipment and materials had been placed. Robert is also open to feedback at any point in the process of design to construction, to ensure that you are completely happy with the project. His attention to detail is rare, and was so refreshing!

We are so happy that we chose Stone and Cedar to do our deck and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for quality craftsmanship and an all around excellent experience!

We are so thrilled with our upper deck. Robert and Mike did a fabulous job. They were excellent to work with, always courteous, respectful and showed great patience with our dog who never stopped barking at them (sorry for that). They provided the job as promised, on time and within budget. Communication was excellent, we knew what was happening every step of the way. We were also glad to be guided by Robert's advice on a few aspects of the design. I can highly recommend Stone & Cedar without any reservation at all. We will absolutely contract them again for future work.
