Interlock Metal Roofing - AB

I purchased a home with Interlock Metal Roofing 2 years ago. I hire them to add snow rails after the second year. I was informed that I do not have a warranty. I asked about the warranty and was informed that warranty transfer must be completed within the first 2 months of title transfer. I was not informed of this during the purchase of my home. After contacting Interlock they declined to transfer the warranty. This does not sound like a company willing to support their 50 year warranty. If the second owner cannot get warranty then you should call it a 3 year warranty as this is the average time a person owns a typical home... They are trying to get out on a technicality that I was not even aware of. Do not buy this product. They will find a way not to support you as the home owner.

We wanted a high quality metal roofing product, and Interlock seemed the best fit for our ~2000 sq ft bungalow.
The salesman was very good and convincing, recognizing our construction plans (an addition to the previous construction) and our need to weather proof after the summer construction and prior to the wet fall/winter season (2014). We were promised a "dry-in" in August after putting my deposit down in July, and in September install. The dry in happened sometime in late September, after significant rain which damages my sub-floor. After repeated contacts, the roofing material was delivered in late October/early and finally installed in late November/early December. This coincided with the first major show of the season... which resulted in a sub-par cleanup of tin, a sloppy seal on the roof vents, and, as I recently discovered, at least one location where they installed over their own nails, resulting in a puncture of the roofing material. At least one of my vents is leaking though. I spent over a week picking up the small razor-blade sharp pieces of leftover material found after the snow cleared, and not still find my eaves packed with stray roofing material (which when it rains makes it onto my driveway... those nails have the potential to puncture tires... not to mention I have 2 young kids who could easily be injured on the metal shards.
I left a review and contact information on the Interlock site and have not heard anything from them.
Very dissatisfied with the overall quality of the install... from schedule, quality of install (how do you not notice roofing over your own nails... which punctured through), to the sub-par cleanup. For the price, I was "guaranteed" a better product, install and cleanup.

It was time to replace our leaky roof after an excessive amount of snow fall the previous winter. We initially did not want a metal roof until we found interlock.

We have had so many compliments on our new roof and are extremely pleased with the way it looks. The installers were on time, fast, efficient and knowledgeable. They left our yard in the same condition it was before they started. I am impressed with their work ethic and professionalism.

The peace of mind that interlock roof provides, not having to worry about a leaky roof or damage, is worth it. We are very happy with the product.

All Interlock personnel we dealt with were personable, courteous and professional. The installer (whose name I don't recall) was a very able, diligent and hard worker. When he had helpers onsite - primarily for stripping the old shake and asphalt roof materials - they also worked well and without loud music or coarse language. Also, our contact at Interlock's office (Shawna) was courteous and helpful - even to lending us the heavy material display panel from the showroom to take home for a weekend AND helping me load it in my car!

We've had positive comments from neighbors and from passers-by when we're outside. One of the more interesting was, "We loved the look of your old cedar shake roof and were afraid what you might be replacing it with, but it looks great - good choice"!

The installation team were excellent, very professional and extremely courteous.
The quality of the workmanship was excellent - They gave us a deadline and then stuck to it. Not a problem.

It is with great pleasure to write to you about our new roof. Prior to having Interlock install the aluminum roof we had asphalt shingles and had been dealing with losing shingles several times a year, every year due the windy climate that we endure in Saskatchewan. This caused our roof to leak in places and created much stress. This frustration led us to look for a permanent, quality roofing material so that we would never have to stress about our roof again. This search lead us to your company and we are glad that it did.

From the very first time we met you (Joe) we had a good feeling about you. You gave us the opportunity to ponder our decision for some time and gave us the freedom to research your product and its happy customers for ourselves. Joe, we are amazed at the amount of time and patience you gave us, answering our countless questions and putting our fears to rest. Your time and patience told us that we could trust you and the interlock product.

The crew that was sent from Calgary AB to our home in Vanscoy SK were excellent. While on sight they conducted themselves in a professional manner and worked extremely long hours to complete the job. There were many days that they worked from sun up to after sun down; working 12-14 hours or more to beat the crazy wet weather we had this year. Artur, Alex and Art became our friends while on site and we knew we could trust them with our home, whether we were present or not. These installers were very meticulous and paid close attention to detail. We could not be more impressed with their dedication to completing our roof with perfection; and it looks perfect.

We spent a great deal of time researching the right product to install on our home as we wanted a roof that would last many years, withstand the hurricane type winds we endure and of course a roof that would look great. Well the final product is exactly what we hoped for, a forever roof that looks great. We are so very pleased that we chose the Interlock roofing system product for our home. We are confident that our new roof will last a lifetime.

Personally, I've never commented on any ones roof before and never really thought that roofs could be pretty, but we have had tons of comments on how beautiful our roof is since it was installed.

Brent and his crew did a great job, if their business wasn't 500km away, we would have them back to do more exterior work. They were always prompt and arrived at 8:00 every morning.

We first saw an interlock roof further down the road and decided to call for a quote. We were aware it was more expensive but I was pleased when Neil let us know how much more at the beginning of his initial assessment with us. We are pleased with the roof. They did the house and the garage in charcoal grey, looking like slate. The crew that came and installed the roof worked very hard and did an excellent job. Looks fantastic, we get comments that it looks great. Would recommend them to do your roof.

Providing superior service and a superior product. The whole process was professional, from the first sales meeting to the final installation. Installation crew was professional and courteous to my family and my neighbours.
