Had a new metal roof installed approximately 5 years ago. We have some relatively steep slopes on our roof, and expressed concerns about possible avalanches. The salesperson and the installer both assured us that the rakes /guards will prevent /mitigate that. They obviously dont know their product because we have soo many huge avalanches! It shakes the house, blocks doorways, sidewalks and the worst spot of all is at our front door. We have had to put up multiple signs at our door for people to watch for falling ice and snow. The avalanches are soo huge and dangerous. Its only a matter of time before someone gets hurt or it causes property damage. The eavestrough needs repair constantly because of the force of the avalanches shooting down the roof. If the cost of this roof hadn't been so high, we would have ripped it off and went back to asphalt shingles. It is our biggest regret doing this roof.
Despite many many many attempts over the years, the company has been completely non responsive! We gave up. If that was the company's goal, congrats guys, you won. We are forced to deal with a lifetime of stress, heavy snow clearing, and midnight shocks when the snow comes down. And of course, the inevitable financial responsibility when the avalanches damage a vehicle or a injure a person coming to our home. We wait on our porch when expecting visitors to ensure they don't park in the avalanche zone or stand in the avalanche zone for any length of time.
All we wanted was to get more guards/rakes installed to help mitigate the danger of the falling snow. The company won't respond to us. This roof and this company is one of the biggest regrets of our lives.
If we have another company install more guards, the warranty will likely be voided. But considering this company does not respond AT ALL, any warranty claims would probably require a lawyer to get a response.
You should be ashamed. For misleading us, not knowing your trade, and for being negligent in your customer service.
Thank you for a lifetime of stress, all because you won't respond to your customers.
I beg all of you, dont use this company. I believe the product is good, but the company's execution, lack of knowledge and experience with their product and abysmal customer service is the worst I have ever seen.
