Booked this company to move us from our 3 bed house to a condo. The move was to be in 2 parts with the first part our move out of the house, a few items to be moved to our daughters home and the remaining items to storage for 13 days until the condo became available. This part of the move was handled very professionally. They arrived on time, worked quickly and handled or items with care. The problems came with the second part of the move. The boss was present at the first part but not 2nd. What a difference. Our move was to take place at 12 noon. No one showed. Received a call about 45 minutes late stating they had equipment trouble ( seems like a common problem according to other reviews) and wouldn't arrive till 4 PM. No one showed so I called the office about 4:30 and was told they would try to contact the crew and get back to me within a few minutes. Had to call again after a half hour. They said they couldn't raise the crew. After several more calls to the office to no avail we finally got a call from the crew that they were at the warehouse loading our stuff and would be there shortly. The crew member, Carlos I believe, said that the delay was all his fault. He had to pay his rent. I asked what he meant by this and he said he had another job. Double booked, another re-occurring theme in reviews. They finally arrived at 7:30 pm, 7 and a half hours late. We had both booked off work and lost a days pay each for nothing. We would have been home hours before the truck finally arrived had we actually gone to work. We had some harsh words when Carlos attempted to make excuses. When the move was completed we asked for compensation for our lost time and they flatly refused. Carlos stated that he nearly broke his back wrestling our furniture up the stairs and wasn't willing to compromise on any compensation. We told him that was what we contracted him to do. His response to us was that we should have bought better house. He finally contacted his boss and then offered us 10%. That wasn't acceptable compensation for a whole day lost and what we knew would be a long night just getting enough put away so that we could get some sleep for work early next morning. The phone was passed to me and after discussion with the boss we agreed to 20%. Just to add another point to emphasize the very unprofessional manner that this was handled Carlos, out of my hearing, called my wife an extremely obscene name. You can surmise what was said. Nice and oh so professional. Would I recommend this company, not a chance.
