High Pressure, Condescending Sales Pitch - BEWARE
I spent a lot of time doing research, reading up on other products, understanding their system etc. I called and had them come to do a quote a year ago and they spent considerable time reviewing the issues with my gutters, taking measurements etc. I walked around the yard with the sales rep while she pointed out issues, repairs etc. Very thorough. However, unless I let her in my home to give me a 30-45 min spiel on the product, they would not release pricing. I didn't know this was a requirement so I didn't actually have time as I was heading out. In the next year, I get many emails and phone calls asking me to buy their services. I call back in and request another quote and explain what happened last year and told them I didn't need or want the 'spiel' and was assured I would get a quote without the high pressure, time consuming sales pitch. The same woman comes out this weekend and I mention that I'd like the quote without the pitch and she can probably save herself time by using the info from last year as nothing has changed. She remembered me. I remembered her. She refused and claimed that she had to explain all the technology to me to justify the price - I guess so I wouldn't get sticker shock. I was promised no pitch by the customer service rep and that I would get pricing so this was disappointing. I thanked her and said that the quote was not needed and said goodbye. I call in again, speak to the customer service agent, he was great, apologized and said he would bring it up to the district/regional manager. A few minutes later, this DM/RM calls me back and tells me that they cannot and will not issue any quotes without the sales pitch and they are required to explain the technology. Fair BUT he was condescending and unkind, accusing me of slamming the door in the sales person face. I was terse and stern in return. I most assured did not slam the door (my door has a pressure issue with both the screen and the door itself so it's actually impossible to slam) and my kids were right there, as witnesses, and I'd never 'rage', especially in front of them. CAUTION: the customer service man was great, all the other staff are condescending. This is DEFINITELY a high pressure sales gig. Beware. I can't speak to anything beyond this, despite my begging for pricing, it is not happening for me. The DM/RM ended up hanging up on me, after absolute abysmal customer service on his part. If you're good with high pressure, it appears the product is top notch. NOTE: The approx cost was gleaned from websites, after doing a ton of research. It was not provided by Leaf Filter themselves.
