Says he's a licensed gas fitter, hahaha! Ya right...Almost blew up my house! I had to hire a professional gas company to fix his work.

Do yourself a favour, don't use this guy unless you want to get screwed over.

I hired matthew from NOMIS exteriors and I was pleased with the quality of the job they did. They were extremely nice and they did exactly what i wanted. I would defiantly hire them to do another job.

I contracted with the owner Matthew Simon to replace all existing siding on my property. Everything to be included was all that was currently sided with the exception of the detached garage. He suggested board and batten (vinyl) and gave me a colour choice to choose from for the same price. His quote was for $5300. It was to have included caulking and I was assured the project would take about 3 to 4 days, he would start Thursday (JUNE 23) and everything would be professionally completed. The first problem arose with the quote. He tried to change it from $5300 to $6000 stating the material cost more than he expected. This was after taking a deposit of $3600 for all the materials upfront.
There were so many days he just did not show up, or worked a couple of hours and left. Several times he requested more money for supplies or he would be unable to complete the job. I paid out all of the job by the last week with the exception of $500.
July 22 we had discussed and agreed to add an addition to the original job. Matthew was to widen the doorway entrance, replace the door and fix the leaking/flashing or caulking issue to the basement entrance. He quoted $700 for this job. He did none of that but simply covered the existing door with vinyl and expected the $700 payment for that.
Matthew Simon claimed the job was finished on August 5th but upon inspection by myself there were parts clearly not finished. Underneath the back steps he left the walls bare (removed previous siding and nothing replaced.) Most of his finished were really bad, uneven and big gaps. (see pics) He took down two light fixtures and failed to re install as found. He removed the stair railing and possibly mistakenly threw it out (??) He replaced with a piece of wood that was part of the side stairs from the other side of the building. In addition to all that as well as some other things too numerous to list he left splintered pieces of wood and scraps of siding and aluminum all over the property. He said there was an additional charge of $500 for freeze board when I refused to pay the rest of the job until it was completed and completed satisfactorily.
When I refused payment he threatened to remove the siding and work done. He also threatened he would call the city to report the tenants dog had bit him. I had to call the police to be present at the home and also had to argue to have the materials I paid for left on my property. The police finally made him leave enough material to finish the under part of the porch where he left the walls bare.
I am still dealing with having to find someone to finish the job and finish it properly. I have no outside lights. Finishes need to be fixed. He claims there is no warranty as the job not paid. I would be surprised if any company honoured a warranty for the bad job that was done here. I am writing this review in hopes no one else has the same experience I did.

Message : I would either strap or put foam sheeting over top. Or I was going to talk to you about
going with horizontal or board and batten siding. Your cappings are still in good shape. We would
only re cap them if we have to depending how much we build out the walls. Everything well get
caulked with professional grade mould and mildew resistant caulking it would take about 3-4 days.
We could start later in the week or the following week
