I was referred to Viking Mechanical from a friend of mine and Chris the owner came over to our home and explained what we needed to do with our upstairs Master Bedroom to keep it cool. He was very personable and explained in lamens terms what we needed to do. He was very knowledgeable about his craft. He was very punctual and communticated very well both prior to and during the installation process. The supplier didn't have the unit we wanted in but sold Chris a 12000BTU for the same price as a 9000 BTU unit and he passed the savings on to us . From that point on I knew that Chris could be trusted and cares so deeply about his quality of work and relationship with his customers. He cleaned up the job site perfectly and always took his shoes off in our home even though we told him he could leave them on. After the install was complete he went over the operation of the unit and made sure we were happy with everything before he left. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Chris and his company to anyone needed any of the services they provide. I registered the product for warranty while he was doing the install and Carrier approved the registration so I knew all I's were dotted and T's crossed in case I had any issues going forward and Chris encouraged me to do so. All in all an outstanding experience having Chris and Viking Mechanical do our HVAC add on system.

Just want everyone to know what a great job Chris did in completely re-vamping my hot water system. It was a large job which included a new gas boiler that facilities two separate sections of my home, with heat and hot water (4 zones in all). Chris is not only very conscientious and knowledgeable, but also able to communicate his wealth of knowledge to the average person who knows very little about gas fired boiler systems. Both Chris and his assistant, Matt, were always cordial, respectful and timely. I highly recommend this company for any of your heating or air conditioning needs, but in particular if you would like someone to come and turn your old boiler system into a work of art that also works perfectly…..call Chris! I have attached a photo so you can see what I mean. Unfortunately I do not have before and after photos, but trust me the old boiler looked like a 1960s copper octopus.

After taking possession of a new home in early November 2018, there was a strange issue with the furnace. The heat would only be working periodically but all of the components and electronics were in working order. Fortunately Chris left his certification tag with his phone number on the furnace. Long story short, Chris solved the furnace issues very quickly and everything was covered under his warranty. I am very pleased with Chris from Viking Mechanical and would recommend them for anyone in Barrie or the surrounding area. Chris was very professional and personable. I'm a stickler for detail and he came thru with knowledgeable answers to all my questions. The most important thing was that I felt I could trust him. He was on-time, explained everything, priced fairly, worked cleanly, and got the job done in less time than anticipated. Highly recommend!

We are beyond happy with Chris's work. He removed our old insert and installed a Napolean Gas Insert as well as ran the gas line and hooked up our gas barbecue. We were really impressed with how clean he kept our home throughout the install. His knowledge and expertise were well reflected throughout the process. If you want good quality work he's your man!

I called Chris to install a duct smoke detector, after having a hard time finding someone who could do the install the way the inspector wanted it, I spoke with Chris who was very knowledgeable and had very fair pricing.
