Tony and his crew did an amazing job transforming an uninsulated, dated and deteriorating home into a comfortable, inviting and energy-efficient residence, complete with updated wiring, plumbing and most importantly, foam insulation over standard fibreglass insulation, which he graciously substituted at no additional cost from his quote! Tony was the first of a handful of contractors to reply to my request for a quote, and he was upfront, honest and forthright of what his services could provide. He was always available to answer any questions that I had, even prior to hiring him, and it also helped that I was able to contact his references to make my decision.
Tony won my job because he listened to what my needs were and did not try to upsell or make promises that would compromise the structural layout of my home that would incur additional expense; he worked within my budget and did not make promises that he could not fulfill. He also accommodated my need to remain in my home while renovations took place, so that was a bonus that other contractors would not agree to. Also, he and his crew were always respectful, polite and professional in my dealings with them.
The crew showed up every day on time and worked very hard and diligently for 2¬ ½ months; Edi did an amazing job from framing the walls to laying a herringbone backsplash in my kitchen – No easy feat for less experienced trades people. What is important to note is that if you are comfortable choosing your own flooring, finishes and colours, Tony has many contacts with whom to choose from, without the need to hire an interior designer. I’m by no means a person who has an eye for design, but I was able to put together a tasteful décor that all the trades people who worked on my home loved. Once the job was finished, any deficiencies were taken care of in a timely manner; no questions asked.
The only downside is that the electrical outlet in the bathroom is placed too far from the sink, making it awkward for appliances to plug into and having to place the towel bar higher than it is comfortable for me to reach; these will need to be relocated in the future.
Based on the scope of work that was done, renovations done on both the main and second floors, I highly recommend Tony and his crew for your home renovations.
