In the spring of 2018, I contacted Four Seasons Metal Roofing of Bowmanville for a quote on installing a sheet metal roof on my Whitby home. Based on satellite imagery, I was told that my roof was 25 squares and the that the cost would be $550 per square plus tax for a total of $15,537.50. Since their product seemed to be the best on the market, I agreed. The sales rep came to my house for the contract signing and I was given the contract with a new cost without any warning. When I questioned the new price, I was told that, based on satellite imagery, my roof was actually 29 squares to give a new cost of $18, 300. I believe that in some circles this is called a "bait and switch". I signed anyway. After I signed, someone came to the house with a ladder and actually measured all the faces of my roof with a tape measure. Upon completion of the roof, I got out my ladder to clean the eavestroughs which the subcontractor had left full of shingle edge cutoffs. This is when I noticed that one of the panels had a dent in a rib. I contacted the company, I contacted the subcontractor, and, after a year, I still have a dented panel on my new roof. The product appears to be good but don't trust the first quote, don't expect decent cleanup and don't expect any attention to your complaints.
