After contacting several local drainage service companies to request an estimate to replace drain tiles on one side of our house, and learning that some would not consider such a job, I tried Groundhog. Mike responded immediately and then came to give us an estimate. He also assured us that his crew could do the job without damaging a rock wall that runs along that side of our house, about 2 from the house, allowing space for a garden. Groundhog delivered. And the job was done in one day. We were very impressed as well as relieved to have the job done. An excellent company. Mike is a good communicator and nice to work with. I highly recommend him and the company.

Michael's quote for this project was about a half to a third of other quotes. He was thorough in his assessment of the scope of work. I was amazed at how much work was done in less than the two days it took to finish the job. The work area was confined to a challenging small space. I would highly recommend Groundhog Excavation.

Mike's company won the bid to replace the perimeter drainage around my home on the basis of experience, references, and cost. Mike and his partner did the work personally, on time and on budget. The excavation around my house proved to be much more difficult than expected (huge rocks, buried concrete, etc.), however, they worked hard, completed the project on time and did not ask for any additional money. Within days of completing the project the air in my basement was noticeably drier. Mike is very polite, easy going and maintains a tidy work area. He also took photos of the work while under construction, which is great for future reference. Their price was less than I had expected to pay based on three prior quotes. Highly recommended on the basis of cost, quality and management.
